PPC Search or Content For Getting Opt-ins!

Hello fellow warriors. I'm getting ready to start my very first email campaign. Kudos to Auto Repsonder Madness 2 for the training. I have a question on Payper Click Lead generation on Google.

1. Should I bid on keywords in my niche that are only buyer keywords for capturing emails or should I get all the keywords relevant to my niche?

2. When I buy the traffic from google, should I advertise only the search network, only on the content network or both???

Thank you so much. i appreciate your help in advance. Hope you guys are banking in 2011!!

It's possible to spend as little as 1 cent per click if you choose only content network, but the number of clicks will be smaller. Some people compensate this by having a lot of keywords for each ad.

Also, a video / picture ad on a content network could be attractive enough for someone to notice it and to click on it.

Personally I would focus on smaller batched keyword sets built around a "thought theme". Then customize your squeeze page for that themes mindset. Now you might be thinking well I don't want to have to create an entire sequence for each "thought theme".

    Well you don't have to...

Lets say you have a core email sequence of 7 to 12 emails. You could create "front end" sequences of say 1-3 emails that focus on each thought theme but then transition into your main sequence.

The cool thing is now you can also segment your list from the get go if you choose. Yes there is more work because you have to create custom landers for each theme, but odds are your conversions will be higher and your CPC lower due to relevance and improved CTR.

Most of your competitors won't go this far...it's your choice whether to take advantage of that fact...
