Found a great niche, I know a lot about it but...

I found a great (sub)niche with an estimated 1100 searches a day (I'm combining a 3 word and 4 word keyword). The 2nd 3rd and beyond results on Google aren't much competition, but the 1st one is doable over time.

Also, since I've had tons of experience in this field, I know quite a bit about it if I don't say so myself. I know enough to continually write maybe 75-100 articles about it, which is sufficient. (1 article a day for a few months)

I know I should build a list. I know a great product I could make to entice them in and a product maybe two to sell to the list but beyond that... I really don't know...

How do you guys come up with ideas to make products for a list?

The only thing I could think of is since it is definitely a sub-niche I could make the list about the bigger main niche and target the sub-niches to add to the one big main niche list. Would that be a good idea? All the sub-niches would be somewhat related.

THANKS!

Also: There are NO clickbank products on this particular sub-niche. And there are a few companies that deal with this sub-niche.

Depends upon the nature of the niche ... But ... Why would you want to write that many articles?

Personally, I find static pages to work well enough. And if you are targeting 2 main keywords only then why would you need to have 75-80 articles rather than one or two long informative articles that call for action? On top of that, from what you say, rising to position #2 here is a cakewalk. Why don't you write 2 very high uality articles, rise to position 2, make some money and reinvest from that money to try and become #1?

An if you are talking about an information product (since you mentioned Clickbank), create your own information product using some other part of your knowlege (spare the 73-78 articles for this) and sell it?

It sounds like you have a complete and self-contained business plan in this.

Would it be worth my time to use some of my remaining knowledge and target some other sub-niches that are related? And build a list that way? Or in this situation is a list not that good?

Absolutely, go ahead and build other sub-niches. That's what you call leverage - using your assets (here, you knowledge) for a borader purpose targeting better results.

In case of one-off sales, I build an auto-responder sequence, and usually build 4-5 follow up emails. Either that seals the deal or the customer just runs away. To prevent overloading my list, I purge my list periodically in cases where I know I simply cannot sell anything further to them. But if I know I can sell something further then I don't purge lists, rather, keep them warm with the nice friendly email sent out occasionally - depends upon the nature of your niche. For example, in IM sub-miches usually it makes sense to keep the list. For health-like things usually it is not but again this is a blanket statement (maybe because of the health nicehs that I am in...). In relationship, again, it depends. I mean, for a get ex case, you may want to send non-buyers an email suggesting CPA offers that allow dating, right?

Apply thought for your own case and you are going to find a solution.

How do i come up with ideas to make products for a list?

First of all, I make sure they are buying them already. If they are not buying products then I ask myself WHY?

Is it because they are information seekers who aint spending money? Or is it because there is no one selling products to them at the moment.

Once I've figured that out and decided a product will do well, I use several methods to come up with ideas to make products around those niche markets...

    - Forums - check niche specific forums for recurring themes, issues and problems and use them to create a list of possible "chapters" for my products

-Magazines - check magazines for two things; 1. Front Page Headlines - what are they hitting on in terms of inside content AND 2. Adverts - what advertisements are running and what problems are they addressing.

From there you will have a list of problems and questions your niche has which you can answer with your products.

But I would ask yourself why there are no digital products being sold at the moment.... before making one yourself.

People definitely buy things in this niche, I don't know how much they buy e-books and digital media however. There are national conventions within this niche so I KNOW there is a market for it haha! But, digital media? I guess I'll find out!

You know what I would do? DRY TEST IT all the way...

Put up an ad and play around with the Ad Campaign on Google

Build a list or offer them to purchase a product.

Demand communication with the list or buyers...

In dry testing, you offer them something that isn't really a product yet,
then you refund their money(if they paid) and you question them about why they bought..

Build communication with the list or buyers, and see what it is they're looking for..

See what they want... What they need... And what is the problem...

Then create a product around the responses and you'll make a lot of $$$

I always look for specific communities that are dedicated to that niche. Forums, websites, or even yahoo groups work the best. They can give you an idea of the kinds of problems people are experiencing, and what product you can create to address their needs.
