Raise $30,000 or face deportation

Ok, the title of this thread pretty much sums this up. I am in Australia on a student visa but the immigration department expects me to show a bank statement of an account with $30,000 in it for them to extend my student visa.

I have been thinking about it and there is no way on earth am going to be able to raise this in 6 months considering that I can only work for 20 hrs per week under Australia's student visa regulations.

I have been on the internet for a while and my hard drive is packed up with a lot of IM courses and products that I bought overtime and whose lessons I didn't implement due to my own laziness, lack of self discipline and a host of other issues.

My Plan;

1.Build a 5k targeted list over the next 5 months.

2.Build and maintain trust, contact and correspondence with this list by sending out free valuable tips in my niche

3. Once the list reaches around 4k or 4500 I launch my own product and sell it either for $27 or $17

Any constructive criticisms and suggestions about this plan are totally welcome

I hope you have visas for other countries as well....Just kidding!
Even I wouldn't be that cruel.
I am no expert, however the advice I have for you is to put your heart and soul into working, any work. You might need to take a full time job that pay 3K$ a month and spend the rest of your time in IM related issues.
You are up against 5K$ in earning per month, this is no easy task, especially for a beginner such as yourself. I would definitly get a regular paying job to lighten the demands on your new online bussiness. I personally don't believe you can reach that level of automation income online that quickly. Again, I might be wrong. You really should wait for more experienced people. Just don't wait too long! You said you tend to be lazy. You don't stand a chance without working extremly long days.
    Best of luck to you!

Get very good at creating a product and building a list the first month, then get very good at recruiting affiliates each month after that. Start a site a month and launch a product every 2 months with affiliates, you'll make it.

My blunt advice is this, get a person that'll kick your a...s...s and make you stay focused. Seriously, I prefer it when I've got someone forcing my a..s..s and kicking my to take actions because that person will really help me.

If you're kinda lazy, get a mentor or a friend that'll give you a masterplan/blueprint and follow it religiously. Really look for someone that has made it and simply follow the persons' steps...don't reinvent the wheel, just copy a working one and again, STAY FOCUSED AND GET YOUR A...S...S KICKED. It's for your good.

Well... what are you good at online? If you are good at something and you think you can do a good job, well you can use this charged this service at a premium price....

And once you got a customer that said you done well... you on a roll....

That's just one of an ideal... but is up to you to think about...

        Bazie,

Where are going to be deported to? I can understand you don't want to leave. I love Australia and it's one of my future goals to get out there.

First off I'd recommend you actually speak to an Immigration lawyer if you haven't done so yet. They're pretty slick and there may be other options open to you that don't cost 30k.

Failing that, in terms of IM don't necessarily look as this to be your answer. It's a business like anything else. If you're very new it may be quite hard to raise that kind of money. I'd actually spread your ability to create income over a few areas. Firstly work those 20 hours a week and get as much as you can for it, save it all, don't go out and party and spend only what you need. Second I'd beg any family you have to stump up some cash as a loan and pay it back with a nice bit of interest when you can. You're a student and can write well. What other skills do you have?

Sit down with a pen and paper and think of as many legit ways that won't jeopardise you staying in Oz of how you can earn money.

Allen the owner of this forum has a great book. I was reminded of it yesterday. It sounds a bit airy fairy but it does work. So, sit down for 30 minutes and clear your mind of everything, absolutely everything. Then when it's done for 30 solid minutes just ask yourself over and over, really trying to think exactly how you can get to where you need to be. Think of all the ways you can get that 30k. Don't stop for 30 minutes. Then just forget it. I've tried this and sometimes a day later I have a great idea, sometimes minutes later. The idea is your subconscious keeps thinking even if you don't know it.

For anyone that thinks I'm some weirdo now for suggesting that, it's Allens Say's idea, not mine. I just use it and it helps me.

Finally often when you look at a figure like thirty grand it seems a bit daunting so break it down into manageable chunks.

        30 days x 6 months = 180

        30k divided by 180 = $166 a day.

You can take some of that off as you can work. Let's say you can make $40 a day that's $126 a day you need to make.

Now try and figure out how to make that amount a day, because it's a lot less daunting than trying to make 30 grand.

        Good luck.

          Thanks for the advice Richard.

Just to let you know I will be deported to Kenya without having completed my course.

And about that sub-conscious mind thing, I agree with you 100%. Some times when am facing challenges, ideas just crop up in my mind and they mostly come up when am doing other things like maybe tossing and turning in bed trying to catch some sleep

Well let me tell you one thing Bazie.

The way you write English I assumed you were from an English speaking country. You spell well, write well and your grammar is spot on. I'd try and use that to your advantage.

I don't normally advise people to do article marketing unless they can write articles how they should be written but you could offer to write articles here for people. There's a thread here where a guy wants articles written for $5 for a 4-500 word article. Don't go in and spam the thread but you can contact him with a visitor message. Otherwise there is a part of the forum to offer your services.

I'm very impressed a native Kenyan can write English so well. I'm sure many can but reading what you wrote if someone had asked me, I wouldn't have said Kenya as my first answer.

I'd never have guessed it myself either, Richard. I think Bazie can write well enough to offer article writing services for $5 per article or perhaps even higher.

Bazie, what I'd do now is practice writing articles around 400-500 words in length, as there's great demand for these in internet marketing circles. Get good and fast at writing these, because if you can write articles efficiently (some of the best article writers can pump out an article in 15-20 minutes) you could stand to make a pretty decent sum of money just from doing this.

In addition to that, you'd also want to consider writing PLR article packs centered around in-demand niche topics, as this is something you could sell over and over again, generating more passive income for you as time goes by (if your articles are good and you develop credibility in this field).

                Exactly Paul.

I'd say the chap writes better than 90% of people in England. I'd even say 90% is probably a bit on the low side.

It's a really big plus point for him.

                Good advice there Paul.

Richard, that's a startlingly high figure you've given there, but probably not far from the truth.

I'm not sure if this is how people actually write, but if you take a peek in Facebook especially, the overall quality of prose there is especially atrocious.

Thanks guys, I wasn't even thinking of writing articles. And about the PLR pack suggested by Paul, I am starting to have ideas that I am going to refine and start implementing as soon as possible

                    Thanks.

Good for you, Bazie. What is ultimately going to matter now is speed of implementation, because you don't have a moment to waste here. Don't sit around trying to figure out the best way of doing things, just do something now and start taking massive action.

LOL guys most of us who come from the former British colonies have a very good command of the queen's language. It is the medium of instruction in our schools, places of work and even on our streets! I'm in the states and I often hear the language being butchered and I have wondered if proper grammar is still being taught correctly in schools!

I don't want to get off topic because this is about helping Bazie but when I was at school it was crucial to spell and write well. In exams you lost marks for bad use of the language.

What worried me, was not long ago, unknown to me anything had changed at all but it explained a lot, the government announced they were going to start awarding points for proper use of English in exams...

No wonder people here write like they never even learned to. I think some of you ought to come over here and get jobs teaching these kids how to write their own language.

While product creation is a viable option, don't put all your eggs in one basket and only focus on one product launch. Try creating multiple products within the same niche - the more products you have out there on the internet for sale, the more chances you get to make money.

Have you figured out how you're going to drive traffic to your squeeze page to build your list? If money's tight, I'd spend every waking hour that you can spare to write articles and create videos. You cannot afford to be lazy with such a big deadline hanging over your head. I think you may have a shot at pulling this off if you put your heart and soul into it, but it's definitely not going to be easy.

    Bazie,

With respect, that is not a plan, it's an idea.

To each of your points I would ask "How?" and "What qualifies you to do this?"

And, of course, who are your customers?

If you can answer those questions in detail, THEN you have a plan.
