Are you sales down this holiday season?

Just curious if everyone is having the same problem as I am. I notice that my sales have dropped a lot across the board. Normally I have a good dec. but this one looks like its going to be slow.

With what I am doing offline and on, my sales/conversions/new clients have really picked up!

    here we go again...

This is where everyone in the Make Money niche says my sales are better than ever

    meanwhile

The people selling info products to everyone else (relationship advice, pets, health....) have seen a slow down.

My niche sites far away from IM have all gone from earning around $2000 a day to pulling in pathetic numbers so something's up.

For anyone to say their sales are up and economy is not an issue - is likely to have a link to a "make money doing..." product in their signature LOL.

With so much current media attention in the news people are constantly reminded to hold on to their money.

First it was fuel now it's the economy... once the media picks a new hot topic I'm sure sales will boost right back up.

As I have said countless times, the niche you are in is going to have a HUGE
effect on how well you're doing to a degree.

The reason I say to a degree is because the top marketers will find a way
to bring in the sales when things look like they're about to turn sour.

And the IM niche is not immune to economic problems. People holding onto
      their money hold onto it...period.

On October 21 I was having my worst month of the year in the IM niche.
Forget of the year...worst in 3 years.

On that day, I pulled up my pants and got to work.

I finished with my best month of the year and second best month in my
      whole history.

And this month I am having my third best month in my 6 years (this
      January) online.

When people hold onto their money, you have to give them a reason to
      buy.

If that means running specials, adding bonuses, whatever, you do it.

I am having my best year (in the middle of our worst economic crisis since
      the Great Depression) ever.

If you bust your tail, you'll make money.

The last two months have been the best for me so far this year. More people are going shopping online and looking for ways to save and/or earn money. People do have money and will spend if you offer real value.

To be completely honest with you my sales have really stayed the same but like last year they should double!

December is a great month for "consumer" businesses and making money!

    Jason,

Naw, I think it just the perception because we are all hearing bad news everyday on the economy. Well, here's some good news for you...

An article on USAToday says that spending rose 3% over 2007 on Black Friday. I did hop onto Amazon.com on Friday but they really didn't have any good deals. What's up with that?

Amazon had great deals all week, but maybe you weren't interested in those products.

It's interesting to learn that sales are down; I guess all these notifications I'm getting from Clickbank and Paypal are part of some hoax.

Sales are down here- especially being in a hobby niche. Could be worse though. Competitors are droping left and right...

Steven is right, marketers will find a way to get sales. People are still buying, but not as much as they were a year ago. All that means is that you have to swipe your competitors customers. This is a time where alot of people are going out of business, so the guys that stay strong will benefit when things turn around- especially if they are proactive now.

If sales are down, why not counter act it by attracting more leads? Simple solution, no?

sales are up but not by alot just by about 3-4 more sales per week than usual, I know the people I purchase products from may be seeing an increase because I have been re investing alot back into my business.

People are gonna spend money reguardless, especially in the home business , and Internet marketing industry.

If someone likes your product or service, and think it will help them with there problems.

plus what I do offline is booming right now because I am saving business owners thousands of dollars.

I know that at the rate I'm going now, I will always make sales no matter what, and when the economy is back full force things will get even better and better.
