Hey Jay, do you remember the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it"?

I'd bet a good many people, if given what they thought would let them live the life of their dreams, would find their life had became a nightmare.

I was thinking about this last night. I don't have a "life of my dreams". I have a dream of how I'd like to live - doesn't everyone? But it's a dream and the reality wouldn't be nearly as nice.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

I agree, Dennis!! I've always wished I were a famous front man for a ridiculously popular band, but I imagine the fame and lack of privacy would get to me after a while...

It depends on what I had for dinner that night.

Oh, wait, you said the 'life of your dreams', not 'the life in your dreams'...

truth be told i am more than satisfied with the basic commodities. i live in a nice apartment with my girlfriend in the centre of a decent city.

but if i was to describe my DREAM (at least, in the context of this forum) it would be to run 3/4 successful affiliate blogs that get a load of traffic and deliver me a decent amount of money on a monthly basis, enabling me to work less hours and travel a lot more.

Even when I was broke Airman 20 years ago, I was "livin' the dream". My dream is to make the most of every day and I do that with my family and friends every day of the week. The money I make and the extra freedom that IM allows me is just a bonus. The fact that I love my job helps too!

I was pretty sick over the holidays, so now I am making an even stronger point to have more fun with the fam, friends, and my business.

Vince Neil tix tonight... bangin my head with some buddies.
Huey Lewis tix with my wife tomorrow night.
Watching the final Hannah Montana with my daughter Sunday.

    Good times!

My dream life consists of being able to easily pay for the things that come up in life on a regular basis.

Being able to know that I dont have to work a 9-5 til I am 70 years old praying that social security still exists.
And it's not a comforting feeling knowing that any day, the boss can say today's your last day...with any job.

Knowning that I can show my child a different way of life that is not what they brainwash us to believe.....Go to school and get a good job.

Being able to see the world and show my family the world and experience different cultures and ways of life.

Knowing that I will be able to pay for my parents to retire, grow old and die in the peace of their own home when the time comes.

Being able to show others that if you can control your mind, you can achieve anything....being able to prove it and not just talk about it....and then show them how from experience.

I dont think there is anything in my list that I would regret once achieved.

What do I need? To be Giving, Focused, Determined and Persistant and the rest will fall into place!

I personally think living the life of your dreams would be disappointing and ultimately soul crushing.

Dreams and goals is what gives me motivation on a daily basis, I like to live a life of dreams. If I were to achieve all I ever wanted, what else is there to look forward to, what purpose is there to get up in the morning?

Granted I wouldn't mind winning the lottery or achieving great success in whatever I decide to do and have a comfortable life in a tropical paradise... as long as I had something to work towards , regardless of what it is.

The life of my dreams now?

Working from home. Whether it be consulting or monitoring my small, but sizable internet marketing empire matters not. I would also like to try my hand at voice over work someday. I used to want to be a filmmaker but over the last few years I've realized I'm a marketing guy--creative yes, but not filmmaker material.

I could go on and on about what I want in life, but that would just bore all of you.

    I'm already living my dream.

I'm grateful to wake up every morning and get to go around in this incredible, complex, biological machine for another day.

Working online is already a dream by many. A lot are still not aware of the income existing online. But my dream will be waking up each morning with around 5 digit $$$$$ in my account. An autopilot virtual empire will be superb!

The 'dream' is surely to live how you want to live. On your terms. Without the glare of others.

Accept a 9-5 if it makes you happy, whether it is your current 9-5 or one which you will find in the future.

Change your life if the norm isn't for you.

A dream can be captured if you work hard enough, but a dream will always be just out of reach if all you do is... dream.

    San

P.S. if you do find the formula, PM me, I'd love to know!

    The three W's of course.

Wine: Being able to afford some really high quality drinks, and still having the freedom to crack open a can of Coke. Because Coke is the key that has gotten me through many long nights of IM.

Women: Does this one need to even be explained?

Writer: My true passion has always been crafting stories, and when I reach the day I can do that full-time without fear of having my gas shut off, then I'm truly living the dream.
