Help with Ideas for Forex Site

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie internet marketer and have been building sites based on George Brown's Google Sniper method.

I have made nine so far but have not made any sales...I have managed to get 8 of them on the first page of Google for their domain name keyword so at least I'm doing something right. i think the keywords I chose for each site are money words..well maybe they're not? They do have low competition and a high monthly search.

I need some help in what I have to do to get conversions. I am following Georges advice by writing a kind of personal approach with a soft sell, putting my affiliate links where he says, one at the top, middle and bottom of each post or less and one on the side under about me section which also links to about me page. Talking about the problem and then referring to the product as an answer.

Anyway, I have yet to build my next one which I have just bought the domain for so I thought I would seek some advice from all you experts here at the warrior forum and try and build it from your suggestions.

I will show you one of my 9 sites which is pretty similar to the others so you can see for yourself what I am doing right or more importantly wrong...
Please see: getviewsyoutube dot com as my example sniper site.

The new one I have yet to build is a forex one and I thought I would join lots of affiliate programs and offer lots of forex robot products for people to choose from. Is that a good approach or should I stick to one?
That site is called: robotsforforex dot com

Thanks a lot in advance, your advice is much appreciated and valued as I respect all of your expertise. I know how good some of you warriors are.

    Hi

    Here are my observations

-The keyword on which your domain is based on "get views you tube" does not get any "exact" searches.

    - you only have 15 backlinks showing in yahoo explorer

What keywords are you hoping to rank for? And do you know how many exact searches do they get a month?

Where are you expecting your traffic to come from?

I am not familiar with the sniper site method but I am wondering how you did your keyword research.

I did a quick search and looking at Google keyword tool I find

"how to get more views on youtube" with 2400 exact monthly search (1300 USA) and the .info domain is still free, there are 252 exact quote listing on google and their is room in the top 10 as there are a few weak pages.

I am not sure about the estimated clicks value for adsense or whether there are some good affiliate products for that particular endeavor but if I had decided to target the niche more views on you tube then I would have chosen the keyphrase I mentioned above.

If you don't want to buy the domain then I suggest you at least write an article with this title.

The question now is : are your other sites likely to get traffic if they did rank number 1 on the first page?

my advice would be for you to review how you are doing your keyword research and make sure you chose domain and content that has a chance to rank and would attract traffic when it did.

And you need a backlink strategy.

    other things I notice

-you affiliate links are not cloaked
-I don't see any email capture//list building function

    to help you

You will find attached a list of keyword that would receive traffic if you did rank for them, I have also attached a screen shot of your top 1000 ranking for these keywords in Google , bing and yahoo (USA)

if you where to create a category/page on your blog for each of these keywords accompanied by a relevant article and call to action then I think you would have a much better chance to rank and convert once people get there

You are still going to need some backlinks.

    Hope this helps a little

    Regards

    Manuel

Thanks for the help, I see how you get those search results by using exact instead of broad, but how did you come to get that 252 exact quote listing on google? i cant see that ..

What you should do is read the FTC guidelines. They were written to cover advertisements that don't really look like advertisements.

    go to Google

put in your keyword in quotes

"how to get more views on youtube"

Now click on the pages of results as far to the right as you can until you get to the last page , 24 in this example, in this case Google tells us that it has found 232 relevant results for that search terms (despite telling us there are 75800)

    interpretation:

the more results there are, the more difficult it is to rank. 232 is just outside the "easy to rank" and enters the realm of "we got to make sure we got good on page SEO AND descent amounts of links. If you have a domain with keyword + good SEO optimised content + a good backlinking strategy , then first page of google is only a few weeks away , striving for no 1 rank may be more tricky depending on the strength of the top 10 results, but you will get there...

Caveat, not everyone subscribe to that particular measurement process. I have learned that particular process from a fellow warrior: Daniel Tan. You may seek is Keyword quantifier WSO for a more detailed explanation.

Now tell me...how are the keywords exact search looking for your other sites?

    Good luck

    Hope this clarify things

Terrible...I have not been using the the exact search. It has always been on broad search. What does that acutally mean?
Bummer...all my Sites are like that based on a keyword that has NO TRAFFIC...now I have to start all over again....Thanks for the help...you are a life saver.

Don't beat yourself up too much...we have all done the same mistake , besides it's not necessarily all lost.
The sites may have good branding potential and google is not the only "fruit" as far as getting traffic is concerned
use the sites as experimental platforms to hone your skills.

Now back to the drawing board with your keyword research

Keep it up, you have already shown much fortitude by taking action and seeking advice, I have no doubt you will succeed.

    Good luck.
