Hey warriors!

A new day, a new week. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Today I'd really like to discuss buyer behaviour.

On Saturday I received 145 Clickbank views on a new product that I am promoting.

The worrying thing to me however was that not one person made an order form impression yet alone an actual purchase.

Should I be worried about this?

I always like to work to percentages and averages when it comes to this but is there any advice for expectation when promoting a product. I usually use the 10% average as a rule of thumb.

I know the product is good as it ranks number 1 in its niche on Clickbank so I wonder what is making the people I have referred not interested in purchasing the product?

Thanks for reading!

What was the quality of your visitors? Were they targeted?

If you get a bunch of people that are looking to buy visit your website of course you are going to have bad numbers. So look at this aspect also and not just your sales page.

      Hey Aaron,

Yes it was targeted as I used an emailing list.

I sent an email out to about 400 people. Not a lot I know but I have just started to build a list.

Do the majority of people return to make a purchase a couple of days after initially viewing the product would you envisage?

I'd think so - this is why it's so crucial that you have a squeeze page set up with an autoresponder to collect your visitors' email addresses, so that you can follow up with them over at least a few days and make the sale.

It is so true, people do not give sales right away, usually they go visit the sales page several times and in several days. This would be their deciding period then will buy once decided.

I notice the average people buy in 10 days or so after they visit the sales page the first time, usually they subscribe to the squeeze page of the product, read some of the emails about the product, return several times (at least3) and then buy.

Of course some people buy immediately if the scarcity and the offer its real good.

I have not got any squeeze pages as yet. I plan to purchase a domain and put some nice original content along with a squeeze page. I have the emails on file however and would be able to follow up.

Craig, I'd suggest doing this as soon as possible. You simply won't see many conversions occurring if you aren't able to follow up with your visitors.
