What else can I do besides Adsense/Affiliate marketing to make money?

This doesn't work for me. I worked my ass off for a month and didn't make more than $0.46.

The goal is $10k a mo and you can imagine the frustration having only made 46 cents for all the hard work.

I'm thinking of skipping wso-ing, freelancing, selling services (writing, backlinking) I'm interested on other ideas you might have to offer.

    BarberShop:

AdSense and affiliate marketing are two very different business models, and "affiliate marketing" is very broad. In other words, to say "I've been doing affiliate marketing and had no success" doesn't give adequate information as to the approach you've been taking.

As far as affiliate marketing goes ...

    - What sort of products or services have you been promoting?
    - Where have you been promoting them, and how?
    - Through which affiliate networks (if any) were/are you promoting them?
    - And many more questions ...

To say "I've tried affiliate marketing and it doesn't work" really doesn't make it easy for people who might try attempting to establish what you're doing wrong, and who may be able to offer up some good, workable advice to set you on the right track.

Also, it'd help to outline your AdSense approach, too. Example sites (if you're willing to give out that information), and information about your traffic-generating strategy would help.

In other words, "help us help you".

Otherwise you'll probably just move on to something else, potentially making the same (or similar) mistakes, and "fail" at that too, before moving on yet again if you don't give up entirely.

I bet that you didn't know what are your doing, or have very little information about.

I recommend that you educate first on anything that you're going to venture, knowing what it is and how you get the cash it isn't enough. You must know how to do the things in the right way.

    The keys are,
    Know what are you doing.
Know how to do it the right way.
Have confidence in what are you doing.

Then implementing something new when you got the results you want with the thing you are doing.

There are as many ways to make money online as there are (dare I say) members on this forum. You can use the search tool to find out more about them. You and others have already pointed some out.

This gets said a lot these days but you need to find 1 (maybe 2) things that you want to do and just stick with them. There are people making major cash with ALL types of methods. One method doesn't necessarily make more than the other. It's just how it's applied, promoted, how much work is put into it, and how long you're willing to stick around.

You may quit on a method today after a month, when in reality if you would've continued your effort and learn from trial and error, it may have suddenly "clicked" for you in another month, and you could've made thousands. But, you chose to quit.

Choose a method that can at least somewhat hold your interest. If you do something that you find to be completely, utterly boring... you will continue to give up on it. Good luck!

      Very true.

And to the OP, additional to my previous post, I will say the following ...

I make good money with AdSense, but the first month I worked "flat-out" on it, I too saw very little by way of returns.

It takes time, and usually (but not necessarily) massive ongoing efforts.

I can tell you that some sites on which I worked quite hard for a short period of time but then diverted my attention away from, tripled or quadrupled (or more) in income, a couple of months after I'd stopped working on them. I'm just glad I didn't stop working entirely during that time.

Where SEO is concerned, age/maturity of a site can make a difference. Not to mention that backlinks take time to be found, and their effects to be calculated by the search-engines.

Even if/when you cease working on a site, it's not uncommon for the traffic to continue to increase (up to a point) for some time afterwards.

Hone your approach if necessary, but stick at it, and you'll probably see some considerable gains.

One month isn't really enough to gauge whether something is working or not, unfortunately.

But as I say, if you can provide a more detailed outline of your approach, it may be possible for people here, with experience, to advise as to any reconsiderations or improvements you could do to make.

I would steer well clear of WSO's for the moment. Boasting about how you made 46c and showing how it can be done might not work

Most of my success has been through my own products. I just sell them online. This is infuriatingly simple but it does work.
More recently I have started an affiliate business to ensure I do not rely on one income source. But having my own products gives me a fair bit of security

Why not try CPA market? If you have traffic but you dont know how to monetize it, try incentive site, you lock your content with a widget and you make money, if you have the traffic it can be the easiest way to make money in my opinion.

You can sell physical products. You can dropship physical products. You can build websites locally. You can do SEO services for people. The list really goes on and on. Thats just the tip top of the ice berg.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I think you are focusing on the money to much, if you find something you love and you don't find yourself counting the hours doing it the money will follow after time. Just look at Mark Zuckerburg dosn't care about money what so ever and he just love creating software and services that will help and improve peoples lives, he doing something he loves and even now he's a billionaire he dosn't care about money.

My advice would be to find out what your passion is and to follow that, rarther than chasing cash. People fail online because they case money instead of chasing passion.

Hard work is essential but it is also important that you get the right plan in place. The moment you think this or that don't work, ask yourself: has someone succeed at what i am trying to do? If the answer is yes, then you just lack of the knowledge in tweaking your plan.

The whole internet business boils down to one simple truth. Content, content, content. Get that right and all else falls into place.

Could be that you might need more than one month to see if those things work for you or not.

The only way to make any money online or offline in a business is to sell something. With adsense you are selling adspace. With CPA you are sellin a product that you probably only get a one off commission, with affiliate marketing, dropshipping, info product selling you are just plain selling a product or service.

Everything involves selling in some way. Getting enough people who want your offer to buy it and how you do it is more the key rather than what to do.

While I still consider myself a dabbler of niche marketing, all of my income is derived from wholesale goods, which is something you may want to look at for a very profitable business. There are a lot of responsibilities but the rewards have been worth it.

What we do is basically find businesses that sell goods, then try to buy those goods in bulk from somewhere and turn around and sell them to these businesses at a cheaper price than what they are paying. Like I said it's not easy. Cold calling is done for hours each day and we may not even make a sale for a month or more, but these sales often result in profits of $10,000 or more.

Unfortunately you have to have lots of money on hand to purchase the goods once you have found them. Our biggest buy in was set at around 50 grand, but we turned around all of those products for a 500 percent profit over the course of 7 months or so.

Lots of ways to make money.

Really you need two things; 1. Offer/product to sell/promote and 2. Traffic to the offer.

If you have those two you are making money....

    For products/offers there is:
Clickbank, CPA, Adsense, Amazon, Ebay, Comission Junction, Ejunkie, Your Own Products, etc...

    For Traffic there is:
SEO, PPC, Facebook ads, Article Marketing, forum marketing, yahoo answers, etc...

There lots of ways to go about it..
I just wrote up a post about a simple blueprint to afiiliate marketing for clickbank here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...art-guide.html

It's all about just doing the work, and sticking to a plan!

    Have fun!

Well, the result of affiliate marketing is not instant. Just be patient and you will reap the harvest soon. If you don't like this kind of business, then you can sell stuffs online if you want.

You can sell other people's products on eBay and keep 35%.
People have too much stuff and would love to turn it into cash.

BUT try to avoid selling cheap stuff. Try to sell stuff that will go for big bucks.

Not sure? Simply go to a friend / relatives house and take some pictures (Try to get snapshots of part numbers)

Go home and check the items on eBay to see what they're selling for.

Would you be happy getting 35% of that selling price? (Plus make some $$$ from shipping & handling to cover that expense)

The nice thing is that eBay does all the traffic stuff for you. When people go to eBay they are buyers ready to buy..

    Hope that helps.

I would go straight to creating your own product, and not skip it. When you have your own product you have a lot of leverage. Even if you don't have your own megablog to promote it on, you can still let others sell it for you.

I think you are too earlier for saying that your method (adsense and affiliate) doesn't work. It is more than one month for judging you are fail or not. Stick with your method and be patient. There is no instant result. IM is simple but not easy. It needs a lot of dedicated work. Just my2cent
    Good luck..

    best regards,
