Facebook Pages - whats the difference

OK got some people lined up to do work for me and my clients. However just need some guidance on what is the difference between Facebook pages (landing or not) that are created by image based V ones that are properly coded.
Im not techhie but the guy saying 'properly coded' mentions it means that any text and related mark up would be indexable.

Now to the average visitor and hopeful client would they notice any difference or is this mainly for the SEO side of things compared to image based pages.
Cheers

I'm not sure what they are on about. I have some Facebook fanpages that have custom landing tabs that are only images. I have some fanpages that don't have any custom tabs at all. They are all ranked fairly high in Google for the fanpage names.

If you are unsure, why don't you ask the person who told you this? They would be the best people to ask... no?

I would say they are just blowing hot smoke. An image welcome tab on your fan page is going to be fine if that is all you need. Don't let them tell you otherwise. And your fan page can still be listed in the search engines regardless.

I completely agree here on the 'blowing smoke' issue! Not sure but it sounds like they were using a bit of techy talk to suck more more out of you! I have dozens and dozens of custom pages that have images, are coded and some are just templates and there doesn't make that much difference in them from a design perspective effecting the SEO. I have tested it. Actually, have a course (socialsearchexposed.com) on it! My guys use images, FBML and html whatever works to make the customization work well for the client and we use reveal codes and add Google Analytics to all the custom tabs.

It is the info tab content, the unique username and properly keyworded content that will really rock it for your pages. Choosing the Category that created the Info Tab is a must for SEO! That's where you can really hit keywords and add links.

Don't let these guys take advantage of you! Let me know if you need any other help or have any other questions!
