Hi Warriors,

It seems that Allen has chosen to totally archived the old forum.
The Warrior Forum

Many of the posts on the old forum were still very valid and were great
references to call upon when needed.

It will be missed by me. Every once and a while I would visit the old forum
mining it for the golden nuggets it contained.

When the new forum came a long we could still visit to old forum but that is
no longer the case.

It is indeed a Sad Day here in the neighborhood.

  I went back it for info quite a bit until the search, etc was disabled. After that, not so much as too hard to locate what I wanted.

Shiloh,

I think Admin would have left the "evergreen" information in the old forum. Yes, some kinds of information never die.

Do you have any idea the amount of time that would have been required for that pruning?

Besides, most of that info has probably been repeated and updated in the new forum anyway.

  If he were to close it down a month after the switch-over, then I think it'd be sad. But the new forums been around for a couple years and there is a lot of content built up.
  
  I do like going through old threads, but it's more for entertainment purposes. But, probably not necessary at this point.

  Not sure I used the old forum at least once a week and there were some terrific gems that are still relevant.

If you type site:warriorforum.com/forum/ into Google there are some threads that are still cached on Google. You can then use a PDF printer to save then to your hard drive.

One way I ensure that I never lose a good post is that I turn it into a PDF document and I file it away in a folder. I have folders for different categories just for this forum. This way I don't have to go back and search for an old post or worry about a post being gone or edited / altered. I even have a troll folder. lol
