I'm having a hard time getting traffic?

I am a trial member of niche profit classroom. I have been following exactly what they have said with writing articles and everything for the 21 day traffic blueprint. I am on day 7, but still haven't seen much traffic to my website. I wonder what I'm doing wrong; any advice? Oh and by the way one article is about to be published on Ezine, the others are in review. I am ranked high on Suite101 and several others with words such as "lower cholesterol" and "foods lower cholesterol" ect., but still hardly any traffic.

I have been researching internet marketing for several years and this year decided to get really serious about it.

    The ezinearticles obviously will not help you until they are published, so don't fret about those just yet. It gets easier over time.

    Are your articles focused on specific keywords for specific pages on your site, or are you making them all link to your main page? (don't do that!)

    You need to build backlinks to articles just like you would to a regular website. If you do that then it gets quite easy to rank for most keywords. Just buy some link packages off this forum to save all the time and effort of doing it yourself.

      I am targeting the exact moneywords that are outlined with the 21 day blueprint. I am adding backlinks to my site on yahoo answers and other sites. Should I just be doing backlinks for the articles?

      What backlink packages do you recommend thanks

    While you lack traffic, I'm overwhelmed with it right now. How can it be so?

        I don't know about what system is teaching you the course you are using, so I will just tell you what I think about getting traffic to a niche site.

        The best traffic source for them is Google and, secondly articles ranking well on Google.

        Ranking well on Google is not a fly-by-night task. Make sure you have chosen a good keyword (usually using a keyword provided by a course is not the best way to go, since many people will be trying the same thing), optimize your site for the keyword and, the most important part, build backlinks consistently.

        If you have started just 7 days ago, be patient. Getting quality traffic requires a little time and work.

        As somebody have pointed before, build backlinks not just for your site but also for your articles.

    I don't know anything about the particular course you are using, but I know from experience that the best way to get traffic in the beginning is to pay for it with Google Adwords. Just be careful with your budget or it will get away from you. There is also a lot of advice on this forum about how to set up your keywords, etc...

    My big money site got that way from investing in Adwords advertising, but now I am on page one out of 8,000,000 for my keyword so I finally dropped it.

    Your trouble is you are targeting the same keywords as many other webmasters. Try and find your own niche. Then hit that niche with what you have learnt so far.

    First off, don't expect 'holy grail' traffic miracles from EzineArticles.com. I've read some awesome/well SEO'd articles there that were published like 8 months, and have gotten maybe 17 pageviews. This is more the norm there, NOT the exception.

    Secondly... if you want targeted traffic, why aren't you focused on getting traffic from health-related websites?

    Two second example: Kitchen Table Medicine is looking for article submissions.

    I'd rather submit my articles to a site where I KNOW my readers are, than plug everything into an article directory and pray that my readers find it.

    Not saying that you should toss EzineArticles out on its rump. But you should look for more opportunities where you can plaster your message directly in front of your audience base.

    Not only will you get traffic, it'll be the kind of traffic that you really want.

    If your wanting free or organic traffic 7days isn't going to bring you the results they tell you in that course.

    Traffic is a tricky thing when you start online, you begin to learn that it takes a huge effort on your part at first then once the momentum starts building then you can leverage paid traffic sources.

    Bill Platt has a great ebook about traffic, and he has results to show you. Go check out his WSO.

    Thanks for all the great responses. Anchor text as in a message with the link instead of just the site?

    Also I have actually seen a decent amount of people come to the site since I posted this. I actually expect it to take like a month I was just curious if I should be seeing results if I'm doing it right.

    The course has a software tool called the money word matrix which is used to get the best keywords. Due to how high my articles are on indexing on google if I type them with the article site in front I think the keywords are doing quite well.

    Do a search in these forums for how to setup a linkwheel. There are some great threads on it and it's a great way to kickstart traffic and send your pages up in the rankings.
