Not sure about the revenue sharing sites. Don't use them. I am a bum marketer all the way. Yes it works. I call it the slow boat though. It takes time and lots of work. I do it full time and I survive. It grows every month though.

Article marketing is my main source and a lot of my articles are direct article marketing efforts, meaning they don't point to a site, but to a domain name which I have forwarded an affiliate link to. So easy.

I have learned the resource box in my articles seems to be the key. It has been a trial and error thing to say the least. When creating my resource box, I really put thought into "If I had this problem, what would compel me to click through".

I often go to the landing page of an the affiliate product I am promoting. I take the bullets point, which are hot points with my audience and transform them into articles.

I could go on and on. There is also keyword research. Reading your article stats, and learning what does and doesn't work. I put the keywords in the title for sure. I also spice up the title and use words which play on the emotions.

You can do it for Free, but when you do, it is not really Free!!

Your time must be worth something to you, right?

So, do bum marketing when you have time and no money, but one day, wake up to the fact that you can buy more time, by spending money.

Yes, article marketing done correctly can make you lots of money.

Keep going until you get your first sale - weight up effort vs time and then start learning more in depth what you can do to get more eyes to your site.

Short answer - YES it works!

IMO, bum marketing stinks. Jajaja ...

Kidding aside, though: yes, it works, but it's probably not the most effective or efficient use of one's time and efforts. It's always better to build up your own sites, rather than others', after all.
