Article Directories - Explore ways to promote article directories

Looking to open an discussion with other article directory owners to explore ways to promote articles directories.

I currently promote my article directory by the following:

#1: submit to article submission software
#2: participant in article owner forums

Any thoughts?

    Another annoying spammer post.

    As for the OP, I would say to look around for some article marketing products you can sell.

    Perhaps you could try the adsense banner (picture) ads as well. When I tried it, they did very well for me.

    Don't use your author list to sell...that's very annoying. Instead, create some free info products and get people to sign up to your list...use that list to sell and market.

        Hi Andy, those are two good suggestions right there in your OP.

        Another would be to add a viral component to your site such as a free script of some kind, or purchase the resale rights to one.

        Have them link back to your site.

        How is it going with your directory?
