Quick question on my product download link

Starting Mini-Sites, going to be selling digital products.

After my customer runs through the pages and finally ends up at my download pages how can I protect the product download links?

Whats to stop him or her from sharing the link or posting it wherever they like? Is there a common method of overcoming this problem or is the download page somehow dynamically generated?

I know I am missing something, can anyone help?

Thanks!

DLGuard is what I suggest to protect your download pages... or something similar...

I have no experience with DLGuard, but I do have experience with another
product that I've been using since it got released, I was even on the "beta-team"!

Rapid Action Profits... I've several blog posts about it at my blog:
Rapid Action Profits | Extra Cash Systems Weblog

Whatever you choose to use, choose something!
And, a quick tip, change the file location occasionally...
Of course, without something like RAP, you'll have to
    make a new payment button...

    Be Well!

Another option is using an ebook protection program. Do a search for secure e-book and you should find a solution that will solve your problem without concern for the download page link.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for all the input. For those who are using DLGuard, I notice it has an integrated auto-responder service as well. Is this something that could replace an Awebber account or is it not fit for a completely automated list?

BTW I intend to have separate opt in and customer lists.

    Thanks again.

DL Guard doesn't have its own autoresponder functionality.

It integrates with some of the better-known autoresponder players, AutoResponse Plus being one, thanks to work Sam and I did on it.

      Cheers,

    Hi Bigmark,

I'm Sam, the owner/devloper of DLGuard that a bunch of people have recommended (Thanks guys! ).

DLGuard will create download areas for you that will expire after a certain amount of time, as will the download links. DLGuard will automatically display your download link (as well as any bonus products you're giving away) on your download area for you.

You can manage all of your mini-sites from the one DLGuard installation, which makes it MUCH easier and quicker to launch a new mini site.

You can also have a quick look at your site overviews, and see hits/visitors, sales, and conversion rates for all of your sites on one page.

It also supports a lot more payment solutions than the other solutions, in case you decide to (or need to) change payment solutions at a later date. With DLGuard you won't need to uproot your whole business, and basically start from scratch again - you can just select a different payment processor from the drop down list.

If you have any questions about it, then I'm more than happy to help!

    cheers
    Sam

Haha, it's coming Tom! Who would have thought there was so much work in creating a good quality affiliate system?

As you know, I don't like taking the "cheap and dodgy" way out, so I want to make sure it's top quality before releasing!

Neil was great to work with on this, and the integration is nice and smooth!

If you want to self host your own mailing list and autoresponder, AutoResponse Plus is the way to go.

If you want to use a hosted solution, GetResponse is the way to go.

I've never heard a bad word about Niel's ARP!

    cheers

    Thanks Sam, and others.

It looks like a very complete package and I think I understand how it automatically ads customers to my list but I have another question.

I'm new to this but am I wrong in thinking I would still want to route visitors through a squeeze page in order to be able to pitch them in the future if I don't initially make a sale?

If I want to bait them with a freebie can I still manage that with DL guard and possibly have it add them to another non buying list or something similar so I know if I am dealing with buyers or 'lookers'?

Another question I see I can use it on 2 sites with the standard agreement. Right now I am I planning on using sub-domains how is that looked at from a licensing viewpoint?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Bigmark,

Yes, you can use DLGuard for a squeeze page kind of set up where you can have your visitors enter their details and be transfered to a secure page or download.

Alternatively, you can just use GetResponse's standard HTML signup form as a squeeze page form.

    cheers
