  • Pinging won't rank the article, but it will help with indexing. However, with a major article directory (EZA, GoArticles, ArticleDashboard, etc) you're article will be indexed within hours.

In order to rank submitting your author RSS feed can be a good component, but the two most important things are your onpage and offpage SEO -- you need to target the right keywords (and add some related LSI phrases) and get anchor text backlinks for a variety of different sources (different websites, and IP addresses) -- blog comments, other articles, web 2.0's, profile links, etc.

Remember to post your articles to your own domains as well, as well as spinning the content and mass submitting everywhere. Build up your own domains as well as your article rankings. Every important to long term success.

Never use a piece of content just once!! Ever.

Backlinks. Then create articles that point to those articles. Hopefully the first set of articles are all pointing to your money page. Imagine an onion... each layer is a articles, hubpages, and lenses that point to the next layer, and so on.

I agree on the above. I always use digg to send a link back to quality articles helps get them ranked. Plus i like to use ping fm to get some tasty stuff to the articles.

    Good luck!

I heard that google will sandbox a website if we start promoting a website to
    fast.

Can someone explain how to avoid this like how many web 2.0 sites or backlinks would be ok so as to not have this happen.

    I use:

    www.pingler.com
    www.pingomatic.com
    www.submitexpress.com

(ABOVE 3 FOR FAST INDEXING TO OVER 70+ SEARCH ENGINES!)

Also, ArticlesBase.com allows you to put links in the BODY of the article, which is great for SEO...

Then I build BACKLINKS to the article itself.

That's how I dominate Google with some of my articles.

    Best,
    Shane
