Hey Warriors. In your opinion, do solo ads in ezines still work effectively,or are they "yesterdays news"?

I still do it but only to build my list. If you decide to do it don't forget to use a tracking program in order to see exactly from where you're getting traffic.

They are quite cost-effective for targeting your market. There is a list of ezine publishers for many niche markets in the Directory of Ezines.

I find them quite effective. The key is to find targeted, quality lists. There are good ones and bad ones. I like to subscribe to the list to see what sort of content they put out. If you notice it's just a pitch fest with little meat, stay away. If it's good stuff you can bet the list will pull well.

If you do it, for maximum bang for your buck, don't try to sell something in your solo ad. Try to get the reader to subscribe to your own list by offering an outstanding gift in return for their subscription.
