I am getting too many spam blog comments, to my hosting email account {for my domain}.

Where do i change this email address on my wordpress blog settings, so that the spam comments are going to another email address?

{I would like to link this up to one of my other crapper email addresses}.
Where on wordpress do i go?

Do you use Akismet? If you use it, it'll catch a lot of that blog spam before WP sends you a notification message.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

        Look under "Settings."

          Cheers.

can i make this setting a Made up email

          madeUpEmail@gmail.com

so that the spam comment approvals go to a fake email. any disadvantages of doing this?

You might miss out on important updates from WordPress but that should be the extent of the problems.

    Under Settings >> General.

Yes you can use a dummy email as well, that is what I do to avoid spam on sites from where I do not wish to receive any emails.

Set your comments to "moderate". So that way you get an email and see the comments before you decide to publish them, meaning you have to approve them first.

Then you can set comments to a certain number of days. For example, after 14 days, no more comments.

You can do that under the "discussion" tab in settings.

Askimet Plugin is decent, but there's another plugin that's better: Growmap Anti-Spambot Plugin.
