best internet marketing material for newbies?

I still haven't made a single dollar online and I feel the need to follow some proven system that will help me make money online.

What is the best internet marketing material out there for newbies, in your opinion?

Thanks

I really appreciate all the help I've gotten from the warrior forum!

Well what are you doing? All the "proven systems" don't work for everybody. Do you have a niche? Is your niche currently too competitive and you need a micro niche?

It depends on what exactly you are selling. Are you doing article marketing and press releases? How is your website, is it professional? Are you collecting opt in emails?

If you have no budget then i would recommend the Bum Marketing e-course or the 30 Day Challenge to help get you started, just google them if you have not already used them.

I am sure other more experienced warriors will point you in the right direction.

I already have 1 project going. I have my niche and everything... I'm following a free step-by-step method that will supposedly allow me to make my first sale. I'm trying to get out of that square one.

Also, I have tried the 30 day challenge or now known as The Challenge but have not completed it. I'll have to look into it again.....

I've also looked into Bum Marketing but never applied what I learned! I'll have to go to that website again, learn that technique and apply it.

I was hoping to find free material actually, so thank you!

I want to make a little money before I start investing it in my business. (reinvest the profits into the business, you know?)

I think going back to these things and refreshing your mind will help greatly, you should even learn some basic IM for free as well, some of the stuff you will learn most IM's use anyway.

I think reinvesting back into your business is the best way to do it, just be careful what you reinvest in, there's a lot of stuff out there thats pure fluff, but can pull you in.

    Here is the "secret" formula...

    1. Choose a niche that has good numbers AND is something you know a little about. Even better if you're passionate and/or know A LOT about it.

    2. Build one (1) site/blog on that niche.

    3. Write at least 5 high-quality posts. You'll add more later but once you do this you can move to step 4.

    4. Optional but HIGHLY recommended: Setup an autoresponder and create a high-value freebie to get people to sign up.
4b. Have an autoresponder sequence that will start when someone signs up that will
send them informational emails and then an offer at about a 4-1 ratio. (4 infos to 1 offer)

    5. Drive traffic to the site. Hundreds of ways to do this, the point is to just FIGURE IT OUT so that you then have the skill of driving traffic for future projects.

    6. Learn how to convert that traffic. The point is you'll then have the skill of conversion for future projects.

    7. When, and only when, this site is making $500 a month, scale it, or you can create another site and repeat the steps.

The beauty of this method is that since you are choosing something YOU know about, there's not 50k people trying the same exact method because they all bought the same crappy program.

I made a free training on this exact thing at my strayblogger site. I don't think I'm supposed to recommend stuff here or whatever though.

There are "proven" methods all over the place. The key is to decide what tactic you want to do or you think is best suited to you, and stick with it. Beginners give up too easily and quit before they make any money. If you put your efforts into ONE method, you will succeed.

There are many different ways to make money online as a newbie.

And thousands of products out there that will help.

My main recommendation is to pick one good method that you like and use that consistently until you master that method or have made a decent amount of money.

It is easy to go after the next best thing, and everything sounds like the quick fix or magic bullet in many sales letters. Just try to remain focus and narrow minded with a method until you succeed.

One Warrior that had really helped me out as a newbie is Bryan Zimmerman.

      I would recommended his products.

Creating a website, driving traffic... those things are more technical and they're very important. If you want success in making money however, you need to balance two big things:

Make sure your niche is profitable

      vs.

Talking about something you know (or better yet, love)

Now I've built sites around both, but in my opinion, the first one is much more important. Why? Because you can always LEARN about a profitable niche. And with some semi-decent writing skills, you can eventually turn that into some serious money.

As an example, you could absolutely love glassblowing. With your in-depth knowledge of the hobby, you could create a whole site about glassblowing, pepper it with AdSense, and sprinkle in some Amazon book links in the hopes of making some money.

That site would reach the 0.0028% of the population who actually does glassblowing. And yes, I'm making that figure up.

On the flip side, you could create a website about "how to get rock-hard abs". Even if you don't have rock-hard abs you can certain open a google window and find out how to get them. You can check clickbank for the best products on rock-hard abs, and see what people are saying about them. And from there, you could create a whole website around the right exercises, proper diet, etc... to help people get those rock hard abs that, up until a week ago, you knew absolutely nothing about.

That website would reach 5% of the population looking for a flatter tummy. And although your competition would be much greater as opposed to the glassblowing website, the return on investment of time would be equally so. Done correctly, money would roll in much faster than the trickle of nickles you'd get from the glassblowing site.

My point? Not everything can be profitable. No, scratch that. Everything can be profitable, but not when compared to the TIME you spend on it.

When you get good at affiliate marketing, you'll find yourself looking at your time in ways you never did before. A lot of people here will agree with that statement. It's weird at first, but you'll start to measure your hours in dollars, and you'll start to realize when you're making profitable headway or just spinning your wheels on something.

      Best of luck to you!

The courses that help me get started are Info Product Killer & Bring the Fresh. Both of them are newbie-friendly. I am happy to say that they bring in the results. You can also learn a great deal at this forum itself.
