ezinearticles redirect question!

Hey warriors,

I was wondering if you could help me out with something.

I know that you cannot post affiliate links in your ezinearticles article, UNLESS the link points to your own domain that redirects to the affiliate site...

my question is: is there a way to do this for free without actually buying a domain? for example: am I allowed to point to a tinyurl link that redirects to the affiliate site?

Thanks everyone

"Affiliate links will be allowed if the link is a domain name you own which forward/redirects to the affiliate link from the top-level of the domain name."

That is taken straight from their editorial guidelines. So short answer, no. This why they have this rule in place. To discourage the practice by making it harder to do. If you could just use a tinyurl or something similar then there would be a lot more people adding content just for the sake of promoting affiliate links.

Maybe my answer slightly deviated from your question, is to link affilliate banned in manyarticle submissions, but I know to redirect the link is not counted as backlinks by Google

    hopefully help

Tinyurl wont do any good as it is just a cover on your actual url. Ezinearticles are humanly reviewed and they check your links. If they will find out that you are redirecting to affiliate links from tinyurl, they may block your account.

You can not redirect from a service like tinyurl or bit.ly your best bet to accomplish a redirect is to purchase a domain. You can get .info domains dirt cheap so there is no real reason to even bother trying to redirect from a service like tinyurl or bit.ly

Its only a 99cent investment we pay more then that for a candybar. So just go get a domain and redirect the domain to the link. Best of luck.

This would be my recommendation as well, seriously for about 2 bucks you can have a .info domain and redirect to almost anywhere you want.

Sorry to disagree with so many posts above, but the answer's actually "yes" - there is a way to do this for free, and many people are using it.

You can use a free domain-name for this purpose (either .tk or .co.cc is acceptable to EZA).

It may be better, in the long run, to buy a .info domain-name, though: they cost only $1 each at GoDaddy.

thanks to everyone for all the help. It means a lot.

Alexa Smith, I wanted to ask you how can I set up a free domain-name for this purpose?

I know how to get a free domain-name(I just tried a dot tk domain) but once I try to put in my hop link as the referer URL, it just doesn't allow it? How do I get around this? How can I set it up? Thanks again!

I'm sorry: I've never used one and don't know this. I see in EZA resource-boxes that people are using them, though, so it's clearly possible. Others who know more will reply.

Please excuse the observation that direct-linking from an article directory to a hoplink is a terribly difficult way to sell Clickbank products, though. The bottom line is that making any steady money by promoting Clickbank products involves both of two fundamental things:-

        (i) Pre-selling effectively (which is, in a sense, another way of saying "having a blog/site"), and ...

(ii) Building lists, building relationships with potential customers by email and providing them with valuable information/content.

Even "direct-linking enthusiasts" tend to advise against trying this technique in the case of Clickbank products.

You might perhaps find it much more productive to use a free domain-name to install a little free blog/site (there's free hosting available at byethost.com, weebly.com, yola.com, blinkweb.com and in many other places: you can use a free inbuilt site-builder at weebly.com, etc., or install a free wordpress blog at byethost.com). Apologies for "sounding negative" but I think it really may be very difficult to earn anything much, the way you're about to try. I'm just pointing out that you can actually try a far more promising and proven approach, as explained above, without spending a single penny.

thanks again. I've decided to follow your advice and do some pre-selling through my blog and eventually building a list.

I appreciate the quick reply too. It means a lot. Have a great day people!

One piece of advise if you'll decide to use .info domains, register 5 of them at once and you'll get free privacy with Godaddy .

It sounds like your looking for a quick buck. If you change your mindset and look at it as building a business I think you might actually be successful.

Alexa's post is absolutely correct. Don't dabble just do it or you'll be another statistic.
