Can I Submit Articles to EzineArticles That Have Been Submitted Elsewhere?

Everyone talks about how you put the article on your blog first. Then you submit to EA. Then you submit to other sites. The other sites are always good about taking articles that have already been submitted elsewhere.

However, is EzineArticles good about letting you submit articles to them that are already on other directories?

Thanks

    Perfectly good, yes.

It doesn't make the slightest difference to them. (Why would it?).

All that matters - from EZA's perspective - is whether it's previously been published under a different name from the name/pen-name in which you submit it to EZA. (That will cause a problem whether it's on your own site, on someone else's, or in other directories - because it raises the possibility that you may not own the rights to it.)

Many people talk about submitting to EZA ahead of other directories, but you can just as easily and successfully do it the other way round.

I suspect that some of those people are actually people who imagine, for reasons best known to themselves, that EZA requires "unique" or "previously unpublished" material, which of course you and I know is nonsense. If the thread lasts long enough, there'll doubtless be someone along, reading only the first post and saying that EZA articles have to be "unique", though: you know how that goes?

Either you didn't need a long thread in this case, or Carlton David is joking

Anyway, you're right, of course. You can submit articles to EZA after other places, if you just keep the same pen name.

          Alexa,

Isn't EzineArticles the only directory that allow more than one pen name? I'd really like to get my articles out to other directories but it seems the ones I've looked at only let you use one pen name?
Do you know of any other directories that let you have more than one? Thanks!

In regards to Alexa's comment about the pen name being the same, I have articles on my own site that I have written, and would like to add to Ezinearticles.com.

My name is not on my website anywhere, other than the 'who is' info... do they dig that far? Because I'd like to use a pen name in Ezine for these. Will that be a problem?

Its not a problem, I do it every day, make sure the resource box points back to the site that content was originally on and there wont be any issues.

I always use the same pen name everywhere, but I think that you can simply submit your articles with different names to the same article directories if you use another email address, as if you were a different user.

I have three different pen names in EzineArticles. What my wife and I do is write unique content for our blog or website article page and then re-write it for Ezine.

If we're posting to other article sites we re-write those a bit too.

We always make sure to have a different title for each submission. Yes, same keyword...but different variations of the title.

I have 5 different pen names for EZA but will other directories let you have more than one pen name under the same account like EZA does? Will ArticlesBase? GoArticles?

As long as you wrote it they don't care if it is posted elsewhere first. You typically only run into problems when they find it posted somewhere else under a different name. Even if it was you using a pen name. In that case, they assume you didn't write the article so they deny it.

Yep, submit same article to many directories including Ezine, just use same pen name as mentioned above.

I DO NOT put the same content on my own site, however, always go unique for that.

    Best,
