Who's got the hottest signature?

Who has the hottest signature on the Warrior Forum?

I think this is a useful question to pose because signatures in forums can make you money.

Look forward to seeing the good the bad and the ugly.

Show me your signatures!

Could this be seen as spamming the forum?

I haven't included my signiture file on this reply yet as I'm not sure whether or not it would be seen as spamming the forum due to the fact that no real content or advice will be offered through this thread.

    What does everyone else think?

    Mark

I do think it's an interesting topic though AlanKay

    Hey Mark

I think if people consistently post posts of no or little value and leave a mammoth benefit packed signature promising better looks unlimited wealth and popularity on an absolute gargantuan scale then that's spam ...

But if people contribute to the conversation by providing value surely they are allowed a signature with a link and a short sharp and sweet pitch?

    Yes no maybe?

    Hi Alan,

Well, my signature is not in anyway hot but I do agree with
you that a good signature helps to generate interest and
clicks to get people away from the forum onto a site that
    you want them to see.

I'm still pretty much learning how to do this just right

I think that is probably the best solution Imran.

Like I said before, it is a good topic as it can help those that are faltering with their signature files learn from the people with proven winners, but I'm not sure it's in the right place at the moment as it may be considered as spamming the forum here.

Interesting thread though AlanKay, and welcome to the Warrior Forum.

I feel this is an important question.

Using forums is something that can be very valuable when marketing niche products.

What I am interested in here is looking at who has the best signature, why and what we can all learn from it?

I think that deserves to be in the internet marketing discussion.

Maybe I am wrong. It has happened before, but not a lot.

No it's not an important question, it is off topic, it's not about the "sig" here...

      It's about the community.

I think it is ON topic but could be re-worded. The OP wants to learn signature techniques but it is worded in an off-topic way.

If the qestion was worded to ask about effective signatures instead of who has the hottest that would be better.

Forum signatures work for driving hugely targeted traffic. You control when you place the posts and also the words you use to let people choose to visit you with.

Hi James, I know your a great marketer here and always look forward to your threads.

But what I'm seeing in the OP is a newb more concerned about a sig than doing a little searching and research.

      I agree. You are cool.

I like a few things about your signature ...

The link to your site starts "Check out my ..."

This is good because it's action orientated not just the URL ...

I also like your twitter link ...

"I post to twitter most days"

... You are doing something right there ... it is not just a simple 'follow me on twitter' link it says you tweet "most days" which is specific and one of the big things I learned from studying Marketing Sherpa's stuff was that

      "specificity converts"

And that's what your twitter link advertises.

      Nice.

Why should this be moved it's about marketing whether in this forum
    or other forums..

I do agree with James it could be worded differently and to bring something
here what about all the threads about show your blogs the big one from
Willie, that to me is no different it was just worded different that's it.

Our sigfile is for branding and marketing, wasn't there a webinar a little
while back out forum marketing been promoted on here...

    Ladies,

    Ok.

Someone should make a comedy sketch out of this forum.

It's like an old ladies get together that nearly always ends in a handbag fight and flying teacups.

If this post is getting on your nipples, and you have the chops then move it to the copywriting part of warriorforum, perhaps it is better placed there ...

Yes that's what I was thinking ... I mean what is this forum about?

      What is it for?

Is it about making friends and holding hands and kissing each other in some sort of fancy smancy community?

      or

      Is it about making money?

... Like, looking at what we can all do to make more moulah more easily more faster and thus put more petrol in our italian supercars ...

I think it is about more than making money. It is a community of like minded people who share ideas for a common purpose. We don't have to make money from each other. We share ideas to help each other and build great businesses.

Sig files can be used for different purposes. Sell directly or build relationships.

Ok we are getting off topic. But yes your picture gets my attention, perhaps that can be abother topic "Which User's Avatar Pic Get's Your Attention And Why?" ... ha

I remember reading a signature on here from Frank Kern ... something like "Get on my list and become a billionaire." That got my attention and made me smile.

What are the do's and don't of creating a signature that gets attention?

That's right Alan. I saw that tagline on one of Frank Kern's websites and I enjoyed it too! Especially the part immediately beneath the opt-in box that stated you weren't really guaranteed to be earning billions! That's an example of a contradiction that works!

Needless to say I signed up!

Enough people have persuaded me that this topic does belong here so my sig is attached below...

I think originality is important in your forum sig's. I think text symbols grab attention more than text by itself.

Iv also read that using arrows that subconsciously direct your eyes towards your links helps ctr

I think the arrows work Bob, looks good. I also feel that a non-crowded sig with lots of white (ah "gray") space works well too.
