How do you get traffic to your Facebook then to your site?

Go for social bookmarking use URL of your face book profile page and content related to your website.

To get traffic to your fan page or the facebook page you need friends.. You can join popular groups on facebook such as popular game groups, gadgets group, entertainment etc.. Join the discussion.. You will automatically started building up your friends on facebook..

You might consider looking at fiverr.com and using one (or some....) of the many on there offering Facebook "blasts." Can be somewhat hit and miss but for $5 a pop you don't have much to lose.

Seek out those with good ratings and if possible in your niche and you never know.....

Here is my experience of buying Fanpage invites.

I set up a 2 step page with a great, interesting title to build a list. To get the great content they have to click like. Then they go to a squeezepage and opt-in to get the nice, shiny, valuable gift.

So I bought a bunch of invites. First impressions were that it was working. A couple of hundred likes in a 48 hour period. That was about 3 weeks ago and since then it has increased gradually to about 450.

Here's the kicker. From the 450 who clicked the like button in order to get the gift only 2 people opted in to actually get the gift.

I can only assume that they are mostly from some kind of Facebook bot just generating accounts.

Why bother to click like to get something and then not get it?

I am yet to figure out how to make it work. How to get 10000+ friends to invite to your pages? I have had my personal FB account for 3 or 4 years and I have 175 friends. Real people who I know. Not one of them niche targeted in any way.

There must be a system. But I am missing it somewhere.

As for buying fans. Don't bother.

Easiest and safest way to build friends on FB is by joining groups and being active in them. Start up conversations, answer questions, ask questions. Prove to them you know what you're doing and why they should be your friend.

Facebook is the place where people comes for meeting people and making friends. It is the place of making network.

So move through facebook make friends, participate on discussion, you will get traffic.

First build your friends to your profile. Once you have have at least 1000 of them or more (the more the better if you can wait build 4000) create a fan page and inform your friends about it. Ask them to like you if they see value. From there it should go like a domino as freinds of a friends will see and join.

Pages don't generally go viral anymore.

I dominated Facebook last year. For over 6 months I was sending page after page viral on a daily basis and was making a serious amount of cash. Facebook have updated their platform and made it difficult to do so.

Users can no longer invite other users to pages. The only way to send a page viral is to create a very catchy and interesting title. When friends see it in the news feed they will click based on the title.

It's difficult to do the above unless you are an established brand, or you're willing to step into the realms of grey hat. I can't see that being good for business. Pages are generally used for building lists on Facebook, you put a like button on your site, user likes, and you keep in contact with them on Facebook by sending users a message, or update the status on the page.

You could however create an application. Create (or outsource) a catchy application related to your business. If your business is "graphic design" create a "Turn your profile picture into a valentines heart" application. Buy Facebook ads. If you think the app out properly your $50.00 spent on Facebook ads will launch your application viral.

Make any sense? You can then put a like button on your app which is linked to your applications fan page and use that fan page to keep in contact with your users and promote your website.

If you are building a list you could offer them the ability to get updates on facebook. The same goes for twitter. I always make sure to make it a point to let the subscribers know that they may miss out on important updates that may not be sent by email. There for in order to get these updates they would have to follow me on twitter and or facebook.

Remember alot of the time they will not know you even have a page. There for you have to point them in that direction. So that they can find it with out having to search for it on facebook or twitter. Add a simple follow us on face book or twitter on your sig in your ar. You can also add a simple follow us on twitter of facebook on your site.

2 important things: you want your visitors to like you and to subscribe to your list so you can send them a free gift. The rest... the money is in the list
