Newsletter Template - What to do?

Hey folks. Am just in the process of setting up my newsletter that I will be sending out to all of my subscribers. (Diet and Health related) Was wondering if I should bother getting a custom template made up or if I should use one of the standard ones that are available for free? Is the design that important (ie making it visually appealing) or should I just worry about the content?

I very muchly appreciate any and all responses

Say man, to follow the advice of Dan Kennedy and John Carlton-WORDS sell. NOT pictures.

I'm on the list of some of the best marketers around and all of them are pretty plain. Nobody is really interested in how cool the newsletter is. They just want good content.

I've even received newsletters in nothing more than black and white. No pictures, just words. And I never thought ill of it.

However, if you insist on pretty templates and that kind of crap, then you should check out Ali Brown | Official Website of Ali Brown and Ali International

She pretty much has the wraps on the ezines and such.

But like I said earlier. Some of the best marketers in the world use plain jane newsletter templates. I'd just stick with what works and tweak it later.

    Good luck dude.

If you make your design too complicated, it might get scooped up by spam filters. So I would suggest you keep it plain and simple.

Some of the best stuff to hit my inbox comes in plain text.

If you have to get fancier, don't do it just to do it. Do it to make communicating easier.
