    If CB tells you that another affiliate rightfully was awarded the commission, there's not much you can do. It's all part of being an affiliate. First come, first paid, type of thing.

    If someone else's affiliate ID left the first cookie on the customer's click, then he would get the commission. Perhaps you need to read up on how cookies are used to register sales to affiliates.

    Another possibility is that the person returned the product after buying through your link, and then realized he'd already purchased it from another affiliate, or returned it and went back and bought it from another affiliate. This happens sometimes when people know affiliates. They mention buying the product, only to learn that they could have bought through their affiliate friend instead and given them the sale. So they return and re-buy.

    Those are some possibilities.
