Meetups, Social Gatherings, Bashes, if you started a thread about this

Folks, if you have been an OP regarding any meetups, bashes, social gatherings, etc, could you all please post in this ONE thread. I'm trying to keep track of all of these to let my lists know about events like this happening wherever they might live. They're not all members of WF, but I can assure you, it's not for a lack of trying on my part, lol.

So how bout it friends? Let me know if you have posted or wanted to post about having a gathering somewhere.

Meet up dot com has some awesome software.

I live lets say around the Toronto, Ontario Canada area. What would be the best way to find a whole bunch of IM'ers to do a meet up in you estimation.

Hi Rob,
ah.. how to find the IM'rs in your area.. here's my suggestions

Ask right here in the WF
Place ads in craigslist and on usfreeads
put business cards and flyers in local wifi hotspots
libraries, Internet Cafe's, Starbucks, Panera Bread (if you have those up there, eh?)
local colleges- computer classes
check with your chamber of commerce for networking groups for website designers, writers, etc....

just a few ideas...

Hi Rob,

Some of the Toronto Warriors met up at a poolhall/restaurant in Port Credit a few months ago and were planning another get together soon, but haven't heard anything yet. I think Steve Iser and Mike Hill were in on the organizing.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a dedicated forum for this here?

All the offline events and gathering could be posted there with invites to Warriors.
