New aff project - have the keyword research, linking tools, spun content and niche...which product?

I have time to start a new Internet Marketing project at the moment, and I have a tried a true strategy, and consider myself intermediate level at IM, but one aspect I haven't got a solid method for yet is choosing a particular product to affiliate market.

I have a regular source of spun content from the health niche and so I'm fully committed to choosing that as my battleground.

I use SEnuke, Automatic Backlink Creator, Article Marketing Robot, Backlink Energizer, and Scapebox, and this combination is extremely powerful and I strongly recommend all these tools! I have a working strategy to combine everything together.

I just need some suggestions on either:

1. places to go research the best products in the health niche, I'll check out Clickbank but I don't trust those gravity scores...
2. an IM tool, especially a WSO to buy in order to find the right product

I'm torn about choosing an upcoming product, on the one hand, I usually buy exact match .com or .nets for the best keyword I can still find, and with a new product, I might be able to get a great one. Plus of course the competition would be a lot lower.

On the other hand, I'd feel more comfortable with a product that has a consistent, and perhaps consistently rising amount of exact match searches per month, to know that it's not a fad like a new product might be.

Incidentally, does anyone know the name of the WSO that offer pre-built fully monetized sites in various niches cheaply? I found it about a month ago and have since lost it! I'd love to try that for this project.

Thanks again guys!

Here is a popular health niche affiliate product:
Health and Beauty Affiliate Programs by MarketHealth.com

As for choosing the product, you shouldn't get too caught up in that. Pick a product, try it out for a couple of weeks, and then make a decision. If the conversion rate is good keep on going. If not, you can just pick another one. Try not to get too caught up in any one part of the process you are doing.

Here's what I do when selecting a product:

    1. Email the product creator - Simple email introducing yourself and tell him/her that you are interested in promoting their product. You can also ask for a free copy of the product if you are looking to promote it. You could also ask for conversion rate stats and why you should promote that product over others. I find that product creators will usually give you a free copy of the product and any other information that you request. Remember, they want to get sales just as much as you do (if not more).

    2. Free Copy - If you get a free copy of the product, take a read through it. Would you want that information? Is it really helpful?

    3. Sales Copy - Take a read through the sales copy. Does it convince you to purchase the product, even though you might not be interested in the niche whatsoever?

Remember, try not to dwell on any one aspect of marketing. It's better that you do something now and wait for results than to do nothing and expect results.

Thanks, that's a good method, and I've taken time in the past to research products, and am making a about (£250) $400 from my best performing site at the moment, so it's working quite well for me.

The dilemma is whether I should buy an exact match domain and make a small site focused entirely on one product, or instead to build a larger site around the whole health niche, and optimize individual posts.

I'm sure I'll get better results for that one product is I focus a mini-site on just that, but if I made a larger site, I might be able to make multiple sales from customers for different products...

Hmm...I've leaning towards making mini-sites at the moment. In the past, I've promoted several products on one larger site, it's time to try the other strat I think.

    Any ideas?
