What did you accomplish today?

As someone who still has a nine to five job, the weekends are ripe for the picking when it comes to getting stuff accomplished for me. Whether its writing content, doing SEO, or even researching new ideas the weekend is my "prime-time" to get things done.

Even with weekends I still work on my sites after I leave work during the week, but most definitely have more time to focus on my goals on the weekends. Since it would seem that others on this forum also have day jobs the question is simple: What (if anything) marketing work did you accomplish today? I'll start...

I finished building two sites in niches that I thoroughly enjoy. Wrote 10 unique content articles for each, and took steps to get the sites indexed by Google. Something to note was that I didn't check my analytics or affiliate accounts until after I was done with my "to do" list.

Anyone else care to share how they took action today?

I work week-ends here but not every single week-end. Sometimes I have lots of catching up to do and sit in front of my PC all day getting things done with that I didn't have time during the week.

    Take care,

I did nothing but that's because I'm the king of procrastination.

I should have written a few articles, finished off a couple of sites, started a couple of new sites...........but no.........I went to golf in the morning then came home and jumped on and off the PC all day visiting random sites with no real purpose.....

I seriously need a kick up the ass to get me motivated!!!

So what do you feel would motivate you to get started on your "to-do" list?

To be honest I just don't know....I often listen to webinars on the mp3 and they motivate me....until I get home and sit in front of the PC staring blankly at the screen while all I've listen to slowly melts away into the recesses of my mind.......

Maybe a post from Wagenheim saying how he only managed to write 50 articles today and made $200.....I'm really not sure........

I think I take motivation from listening to how well other people are doing or how much they actually accomplish in a day.......

I've been struggling to write one lousy article all week just so I can finish off an affiliate site that I've been making, it's already on the first page of Google for it's keyword phrase and it's just awaiting a final post promoting the product and the adding of some affiliate links but no.....I've got traffic going to the site and doing nothing all because I'm just too slack and unmotivated!!....I just need an uppercut to get my ass moving again.....It's amazing.....I'll do a 10 hour day at work but can't put a solid hour of work online for myself and family.....mind you I haven't always been like this....it just seems I'm in one of those funks at the moment and lack the focus and discipline........this is starting to sound like a woe is me.....so I'm off to play my Ps3 or something.....

It would seem that maybe you should start a list of tasks you'd like to get done. Maybe your task for the day is just finishing that article so you can start seeing some sales. Don't feel you need to tackle the world in one day.

I have a PS3 but I haven't even turned it on in something like two months. I guess the mindset I have is that the PS3 (or PS4 lol) will still be there well after I have built my online business/income.

So yeah make it a goal to get that article written tomorrow and then maybe reward yourself by playing a game. Not trying to sound like a school teacher here, just trying to help a fellow IM'er out!

I can relate. I have so many ideas but I get busy going to random sites also and checking email. Maybe someday I can get it together.

Did some online work but mostly, since it's Saturday, my family demands more time from me. I cooked some of my favorite dishes and was able to fix my car break problem.

Have you looked at putting together a list of things you need to accomplish each day? That helped me get into a habit of getting the things I wanted done in an appropriate time frame.

If terryd is the king of procrastination, I'm the queen of procrastination, haha...

I've written out my plan in step-by-step tasks and have it planned so that I get at least one task done a day. Thanks to that I actually have nearly finished my task for the day (it's currently 6:15pm), which involved adding content to my eBook. Hooray!

What have I accomplished? Well I am now working for 13 hours today, well, working/posting/doing other random things, and I have accomplished pretty much nothing. Worked with my graphic artist on a few things earlier, that ended up being not so successful. No worries. Sent about 20 emails to potential clients, thats about it. Been posting here. Also formulating a plot to take things to the next level.

13 hours of work and you really feel you didn't accomplish anything? Any ideas on why you don't feel like you did much to push your business further today?

Im busy finishing the tasks given to me by my employers. Yes I do freelancing every now and then. Then I checked my blog rolls for inspiration for something to write and I blogged for six of my new blogs.

Sounds like you had a really productive day. Are the blogs all in six different niches or are they related? If so that is quite the task. Thanks for sharing.

Well yesterday, I marketed a bit. Did a few edits to some sites. Worked with a few clients and played games

Sunday, I hope to get quite a bit done today regarding a few sites.
