What ????? is this CB vendor doing?

Usually I wouldn't care and would just pass over something like this. But I have a product that I can't change the links, just rebrand with my own CB hoplinks. The link is, or used to be Auto Traffic Avalanche, vendor ATAKI.

When you click on the old ATA link, now you get this squeeze page. EXCLUSIVE PARTNER INVITE - ON MONDAY 10 JANUARY WATCH YOUR CB ACCOUNT GO CRAZY! Anyone with links still pointing to ATA doesn't seem to have a hope of making a sale. All that a person can do there is sign up for a list. I'm sure we would all be excited about waiting for Jan 10, but it's gone by. Doesn't look like anyone's account went crazy yet.

It was quite an active product not long ago. Here is a page that shows its gravity on a steady down slope for about the last 2 weeks.

Huge $7.02/Click With Xtreme Traffic Arbitrage - ATAKI | CBGraph

It looks like close to 0 sales in the last 2 weeks. This seems unfair to affiliates that still have links pointing to it but are not getting paid for the traffic. Or am I misunderstanding something? (Entirely possible )

Unless they happen to check their links, they might not even notice.

Edit: Rats, I tried to edit the sales titles out of the links, but they popped right back in and still don't show the bare link. I'll just paste them in with a space after the http to keep that from happening.

This is a common way for vendors to essentially steal traffic. This is one more reason to have your own product instead of selling stuff for others.

I guess products get withdrawn from CB all the time.

I'm not sure if it's even possible for a vendor to contact all affiliates. You don't have to "sign up" with most vendors, you don't even need to be logged into your CB account to get an affiliate link.

By the sound of it you're using a third party product with an embedded affiliate link so I guess the onus is on you to ensure the products you're promoting are still current.
