|  Which Wordpess folder do you install Google Analytics?
Hello fellow warriors, I have just finishing editing a new blog and want to start sending traffic to it. What i want to know is which folder do i install google analytics so that i can keep a track of my trafic. any help will be appreciated. |

u don't install analytics. You just place a few lines of code right before the closing body tag. This will probably be in your footer.php file since you're using wordpress. Do you have a google account yet? If so, setup a website profile and get the tracking code from there.

i just chuck it into a text widget....works fine i just find that it takes a long time to get picked up by analytics nowadays, so don't worry if it does not show immediately |

Like ChessGuy said... open footer.php and paste it in right BEFORE the </body> tag.

to clarify a bit more, the folder/file you are looking for is : wp-content/themes/YourThemeName/footer.php I do like grumpyjacksa's idea tho of putting it into a text widget... that way if you change your theme, you don't have to add the code every time. - Jared |
