Top Blog Monetization Methods

I know that this might be a bit of a common topic, however I am doing the research of the best up to date monetization techniques for blogs.

So far I have:

Adsense
Commission Junction
Clickbank
E-Junkie
Adbrite
Double Click

Your input is appreciated as I am planning to go through all of them and test them.

I read that article. It was really well written and obviously written from real experience. Basically, he uses all of the standard ways we all talk about everyday here.

The interesting thing to note is that he uses EVERY avenue and doesn't really favor just one.

For blogs, I look at it like this...

Product Sales: Yours or somebody else's (affiliate)

Advertising: Adsense, Adbright, Juicy Ads, etc...

    Payed per view (CPM) advertising

Selling adspace and backlinks on your site

    I'm all about that bass.

Surprised no one mentioned building your own products yet. Once you start building your own business and acquiring your own customers, your business will take off.

I think you are right on the money. Call me old fashion, but I like to put together a business and marketing plan... do accounting... and talk with clients on the phone...

Ultimately, creating your own product is the best way to make money online.

    Thanks guys.

Having own products is great, however I think that something more simple is a better starting point for most people.

I wouldn't actually call these "techniques". I believe a technique would be creative ways that you promote these affiliate networks/products/services.

For example, a VERY effective technique is to begin a resource page, with your list integrated. Your resource page is a way to subtly promote these in manner that is very passive, and "not-in-the face". People show that they are willing to "click" by clicking on a tab, which typically relates to being willing to "click" on a link WITHIN the page...

That's just one of many techniques that are very effective.

Here is a tip: Every major bloggers business model is readily available for deconstruction and analysis, but few take the time to really try to understand and implement what they do. For example, John Chow earns some $40,000/month, and essentially made a free digital product/ebook go viral, with wording meant to sell products and services on the back end. His autoresponder makes this entirel possible...especially in essentially automating relationships with readers. You can set up follow message after follow message, and keep people interested...

It's all about developing systems in the background...

Go research what Michael Dunlop, from IncomeDiary does...

These people have their business models readily available to anyone.
