Can 2 Similar Products Working Together Cause An Explosion?

When I say Explosion, I mean good or bad, in your mind?
Suppose I want to start submitting my content to article directories, hundreds of them.
2 Products could do the job better than one. Would they counteract eachother? Would they increase the benefit?
What about backlinking software? Could they link to the same place twice? Would that get me banned? Penalized by Google?
What are your takes on this warriors?

Thanks

Don't worry too much: I think plenty of people might encourage you to read 5 or 10 threads about article marketing here so that you'd be able to appreciate (again? having forgotten?) what a thoroughly bad idea mass-submission to mass article directories would be.

I know that you're already aware that the only backlinks you'd get from doing that would be non-context-relevant, PR-0 ones, many of them unindexed anyway, and many of the rest very temporary, and that you'd need thousands (probably tens of thousands) of them to give you the link-juice equivalent to just one proper, context-relevant, higher-PR backlink. But don't worry, let us know if you get feelings like these again: you can always reply on your friends here to talk some sense into you.

My take on it is that you have much better questions to ask than these ... and that you know that, really.

On the "two products" subject of your title (though your post itself seemed unconnected to this theme?), I think it can be very good to sell two (or more) different products as an affiliate, within one niche, from one niche site. When starting new niche sites, I try to avoid anything that looks like a "one-product niche", myself. My overall experience with adding a second product is that I'm earning about 35% more for about 10% more work, so it's quite a good deal, really. There can also be some advantages, of course, to being able to offer the people on your lists (and your site visitors) products at different prices. (But that has little relevance, to the articles I'm publishing).

You are very sharp. I was wondering who would pick up on this.
I am sending you a pm. This was just meant to attract the right response to me. I assume if you managed to catch this, you will be able to answer my second question. I never use said services, however once you read my private question, you will understand.
I kinda had a feeling it would be you This forum is lucky to have you.
      Thanks Alexa!
