I Want to Transfer 3 Hacked WordPress Blogs to a New Host....How?

I have 3 WordPress blogs on 2 domains (one is on a sub-domain) that have all been hacked - I believe it's because they are on old installs of WordPress.

What I want to do is "un-hack" them....I believe I need to copy the database and a couple other files and then put them on fresh WordPress installs on a new host.

I've been looking to change hosts for some time now, and figure now is a good time.

First question....

Does it sound like this is the right course to take in order to "un-hack" these WP blogs?

I know it may be difficult to tell, but this process should give me a fresh, updated WP install while preventing me from losing all my content, right?

Question #2.....

Does anyone know someone I could hire to do this? Or does someone want to volunteer their services?(and get paid, of course!!)

These aren't my sites, but I've helped the organizations(high school football teams) set them up...and now I am too busy and overwhelmed with WORK to spend hours fixing them.

    Should you try to move a hacked site? That's problematic. It depends on the nature of the hack and I'd need more information on that before I would have a suggestion. You might be better off just doing a fresh install.

    No. Absolutely not.

    Again, NO.

    More details:
    It depends on the hack.
    If some files have been over-written, you may get a clean blog, IF...
    ... you know which ones
    ... and you don't copy them over
    ... or you don't have to copy them over

    If you had a MySQL injection type of hack... export/importing the database you will just move over the hack to the new location.

    Which means before you attempt the backup and the move - you need to clean up the old installations. THAT's the big task. The move itself is a piece of cake.
