Default Anonymous People...

I just realized something...

Anonymous people are really going to stand out now in the WSO forum. It might just turn out to be self cleaning to an extent :-)

Umm, Allen, I'm not sure that anyone can GET more anonymous that you are AND, from your picture, you could USE a little cleaning! I didn't mean anything personal by it, though!

You know, Allen, I liked the Facebook picture much, much better than the one you have now! Listen, you're a great marketer and you come up with fantastic ideas but your lacking a little bit in the self promo area. If you ever need a PR Manager, just let me know, okay?

Yeah and it's causing all sorts of trauma for us shy and retiring types too.

You dont know the half of it.

I am torn between posting my picture as a avatar and scaring the hell out of fellow warriors or posting a cartoon avatar.

I was hoping to see pics of senior warriors though.. Bev, Bryan etc. Many senior warriors have not put their pictures..

Cheers,
Anup

Hi Allen,

Monkey calling the kettle black

Just kidding - I've seen Allen getting death threats just foran n/a so I understand if he stays under the radar.

Hi John,

That's interesting - I'm pretty much the same when it comes to my photo and appearing/speaking publicly (unless I'm keyboard-cowboying and hiding behind my monitor then I'm all big and butch)

But I realised recently that to move forward in certain areas I need to utilise video (not THAT area!) and I'm not prepared to just use camtasia - I think if you are going to use camtasia a lot then it's wise to at least do an intro to each one to let the viewer see who's behind the voice - plus, I just think it can build trust and responsive (once mastered).

So by coming out of my shell and putting my avatar up (as you can see I struggled to find one I was happy with, and the best I found was one that Karl Warren feels resembles 'constipation'...) it's helping me to get over my mild online shyness...

I hope the mildish brummie accent doesn't ruin the show...

Edit - Hey, Anup - just log into the old forum here -

http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/po...splay&id=31634

I'm sure Bev will thank me for that

I just saw that movie and thought the same thing when I read that post! LOL

Seriously though, I can't get my picture to upload. It's not pretty, but it puts a face to the name. Unfortunately I can't get it to upload to save my life... Ahh, the joys of technology. If this was a postal mailing list instead of a forum I wouldn't have this problem. LOL

Hmmm, I just posted that and had completely forgotten that I got it to work like 8 hours ago.

I think it's time for bed... LOL

I decided that we finally had to uncover the real Allen Says. I knew he couldn't be a mo nkey as he kept turning down my banana offers.

So, I sent a crack team of hamsters out on a dangerous mission.

They succeeded, and it seems that the monkey picture is the better choice. After all, would you deal with the real Allen Says?

Kevin ...Where do you get these pics from?

I thought the picture on the "UGLY" thread was ugly enough but you've raised the bar

Default I Like It

Hey, Allen -

I like your pic... it's very 'becoming'... ... and thank you again for responding so fast to my email to you...

Personally I've harped till I'm blue in the face [ ] about what a disservice people are doing to themselves with goofy, silly usernames... because that becomes their branding...

Anonymous people are even a level below that, too...

If people are here to learn, share, help build their rep, etc., why in the world do they pick these absurd usernames? And unless they have something to hide [which I guess some people must] why would they hide behind an acronym or an anonymous username?

I'm sure interested in any responses to my inquiry here from any interested parties...

Always all the best to you -

Chip Tarver
