Attention Site Flippers-Product Flipping Question

Hey Warriors,

Just a quick question for the 'flippers' here or anyone with this kind of knowledge.

I have been playing around with this idea for a while and know someone who wants to do so too.

I know people create niche based blogs/sites and generate traffic to them, monetize them and then sell them when reasonable revenue is being generated each month. Every one does it their own way, and I also understand the more revenue the site is bringing, the more money one will get for the flip.

However, I am wondering about IM products? or products in any niche really.

For example, If I have a product that is selling as a WSO or on my own independent site, proven to convert and has already made decent money, is it possible to sell the entire thing?

Of course I wouldn't sell the buyers list generated, but since the product is bringing in revenue each time traffic is generated in the form of ppc or solo ads or whatever, How much can you expect for such a product? Anyone on the forum who has done it or does it for a living?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Christina Osorio

Yes, so long as it's your own original work or you otherwise have the rights to do so.

It may be a much tougher sell if it's a product tied to a name, like "John Doe's IM Course" than if it's a standalone product.

Usually, these are tied to revenue. Something like 4-6x the monthly revenue. May depend on how evergreen the product may be and whether it's something likely to keep going or fizzle out after a while.

Would be definitely interested in knowing the answers to this. I have been playing with the idea a lot lately too. I also know of a successful product launch in early 2010 which did quite well and was later sold entirely with the rights to someone for $100k.

Anyone with a similar experience here?
