    Hi Sanjay,

In the books it is usually recommended to not exceed proportion of 1 keyword for 100 words. I personally would recommend, if you have rather long texts, to keep it on 1 keyword for 200-300 words.
If you are talking about satellite, then higher density is okay. Such page will be indexed fast and will push your main site. But then it may drop out of index. The extremum of this idea is doorway: almost each word is keyword, highest position in SERPs (not only because of keywords of course, but also because of backlinks), tons of traffic, but inevitable ban in several days.

Well, keyword density is the amount of times a word or phrase is referred to in a document, compared to the total words in the document. More is the keywords density more volume of traffic increase to a targeted website.

please don't spend time obsessing about keyword density. write naturally for your intended audience - that is the "correct" density.

there is no point in taking a robotic approach to try and game the algorhythm - it's a complete waste of your time.

    Hi Sanjay,

Keyword density used to be an important factor for ranking in the organic search results but nowadays it isn't that important anymore. I personally stick to the following density in 1 page: for every 100 keywords I will try to use between 2 or 5 times my target keyword. That will get you a keyword density of about 2% - 5%.

It's more important WHERE you place your target keywords for optimizing your site for higher organic rankings. Make sure you put your target keyword in the title of the page (most important factor!) and the header (H1 html tag) and subheader(s) (H2 html tag). Furthermore, you might want to emphasize the keyword with bold/strong tags. After that, get your internal linkstructure right by using the target keyword in your internal links.

Last but not least: get more external links to your website and start building quality backlinks!

    Good luck!
