Hey warriors im new to im. Id like to know what the best ebook(wso) is right now. Id like to get the best software/ebook to help me start with im. Im new i just started to really work at this, ive bought about 20 ebooks and 5 different kinds of software i prob wasted over 1000-2000$ every book sucked and the software i bought was just as bad. The support sucked and wasting my money sucked as well. and 0$ to show for it. So please can anyone help me with this? this is my last chance and id like to spend my $$4 on something useful that actaully works.

Thanks

    I can help you.

Stop buying ebooks and crappy WSOs! I mean it: stop now and don't buy anything until you make your first $100 or $1,000.

Spend your last $4 on coffee... sit down on your a** and read the whole WF... especially older threads where they descibe simple, proven methods of earning your first dollars.
When you found a method that suits you - APPLY it. IMPLEMENT it. DO it.
    It is that simple.

(If you have $37 - buy War Room membership).

I agree. Good advice. I've learned a ton about IM just by reading the posts.

      Hello Teamcrunk,

It's very easy to get sucked into the "get rich quick" mentality.

This is a business like all the rest. It takes time, sweat and tears.

That's what makes it worth it.

Istvans points are spot on, don't keep spending money.

Figure out what you want to do, take a bit of action, see if it works, if not, tweak it, try again.

If something doesn't work first time, it doesn't mean it doesn't work, it often means you didn't do it properly in the first place.

What he said. Really ... what he said.

This industry has to be the worst for getting distracted, sidetracked and off course so easily.

I'll just reiterate and I hope that you follow this:

the best way to learn is to read. MOST of the information that you'll find in these books are out there. Do the research. It's the best way to learn. Grab free books from people, they do it on a regular.

One of the coolest books i've read was this 158 page book i saw on Anik Singal's website. It's totally free. Just google anik singal, it's the first one that pops up.

      Action is what gets results.

Choose one business model and stick to it.

Don't be tempted by anything else that is out there. You won't get anywhere by jumping from one thing to another.

I hope you get the success that you want and get a return from the investment you have made.

As a relative noob myself, I have to agree with the above comments. Every time I read about a new method or a better way to do something my inclination is to jump ship and try something different but I'm glad I didn't.

Even though I'm not seeing results yet, just the learning experience you get from following one method is well worth it.

I'm now pretty proficient in just about everything from niche finding, keyword research, market research, site building, writing reviews, writing articles, on page seo, off-page seo.

Had I kept jumping from method to method I'd have nowhere near the knowledge and skill I now posses. And I'm probably a few hundred dollars better of for it too.

Can't give any better advice than this.

Don't jump from one 'greatest thing' to the next. You need focus.

Find something you are interested in knowledgable in and become and expert in that field. Produce an ebook - it's the easiest way to start.

Find out how to choose the right domain name, learn simple SEO and get your product created and online. If it's well written, for a good audience who are actively looking for that information and at a good price, it will sell.

Do you have any hobbies? Any great loves in life? If so, you have your content there - just put in down in writing and go for it.

Success doesn't come easily in this business, there's no magic button - you need focus, determination and hard work.

You are preparing the foundations for success. It will come.

        Good luck!

Gary is absolutely right. Your focus should be finding ONE BUSINESS MODEL that works for you. I will go so far as to say that Libby's advice is very dangerous (sorry Libby). Because she's right, but what she's saying works only for some business models.

Anything that you're going to be successful at has an end to end business model - you have to go through the steps Libby outlined in general. But "right in general" loses people loads of money. You need to be "right in specific" to make money.

Here's an example. 18 months ago I was heavy into article marketing. Some people said - pick a product, put up a review site, write articles driving people to the site, get people on an autoresponder, promote your product, keep doing it and you'll make money.

Here's what I found out. Different products require different business models.
I sold earth friendly energy and government auctions very successfully (a grand or more a month) by using article to drive people to a review site that recommended a good system and sending them from there to the vendor site. At one time, about 7 of the top 15 articles on EZA for each of those categories came from me.

Cover letter and resume sales don't work that way at all. You can't sell cover letter generators from a review site that way. To sell those, you write articles that send people directly to the vendor site and bypass your own site. If you try to use the government auctions business model in the cover letter niche, you'll lose your shirt. In fact, Career Jimmy told me that when I wrote to ask him why his product wasn't selling for me. When I followed his advice and sent people directly to his page, I started selling.

Products for feminine issues work very differently from both of those. You have to build a list and it can take a long time. Someone who is an expert at SEO has a thread on this forum where he tried to crack that market for 60 days and had very little luck.

I could go on and on. As Libby says, Facebook works very well (if you are promoting something trendy or a lifestyle product). If you're doing offline for personal injury attorneys for example, it's not such a great idea.

So the idea that you can just learn these basic skills and string them together and make money is a huge misconception on the Warrior Forum. It's propagated by people who have done it successfully. But most of them have gotten lucky with the right combination of products, audience and tools.

What Istvan and Gary are telling you is the way to go. Find a business model that works end-to-end first. Get it going and prove to yourself that it makes money. THEN and only then, look at the WSOs that push one particular part, facebook marketing, or article marketng, or pushing traffic, or etc.

The business model comes first. Because if you have 1/3rd of it down, or 1/2, or 3/4's it will fail. And you can lose money easily.

I think Istvan is right. Years ago there used to be threads where people hashed out whole business models. Those are often evergreen. Find those. Find one that feels like it fits you. Then be willing to really work it (like Gary said) and make it your own.

    Hi Sonya

I'm not sure you meant to say that you had $4 to spend but Istvan's advice to spend it on a coffee is a good idea

My advice is along the same lines - take a step back and set yourself a plan. Think about what kind of business model you want to do online.

Do you want to build a list?
Create mini sites in niche topics?
    Just promote affiliate products?
    Create your own products?

When you start online it's tempting to buy anything and everything that seems like 'the solution'. But if you don't know the problem you're wasting your time and $.

As a side note, I worked with someone who did just that! To even read all of the stuff he bought, let alone implement it, would have taken me about a year.

As a result we went around in circles. Basically until i just refused to use the new stuff he had bought!

There are some truly amazing courses and software out there that will make a true difference to your business, but only if you know what you want to do with every single thing you buy.

Don't go to the 'internet shop' looking for things to buy... figure out exactly what you need then go and find a solution.

IM comes down to a simple formula in the end:

Traffic -> List -> Conversions (If you aren't building a list then it will be Traffic -> Product -> Conversions)

.. and your job as an internet marketer is to get VERY good at those 3 things.

This is my T+L+C 'formula' I talk about on my blog LibbyCollier.com (link in top nav)

Go and have a read - I'm NOT sending you there because I want you to opt in!

Just read the post and get to grip with the idea that EVERYTHING you do and buy online must be contributing to one of these things.

Then it's a matter of mapping out your plan and going from there.

    Hope that helps
    Libby

PS: You're not alone! I'd say most people here, including me, have tried a number of ways to make money online before they focussed on one and really started to make it work. I sure as heck did.

The post was meant to be addressed to you .. think I was reading Sonya's reply below yours and addressed it to her accidentally.

When you say 'this optin stuff' do you mean is there a free way to start building your list?

If I had ZERO dollars to start this is what I would do:

        • Join GetResponse (free under 100 subscribers. MailChimp is great too but not for affiliates or home business niche)
        • Create a Facebook fanpage around your chosen niche (choosing a niche is a whole topic in itself too)
        • Add an opt in form to a custom tab of your new page. Set this page as the default landing page.
        • Create something juicy to give away to your subscribers.
        • 'Suggest' your new page to your Facebook friends. They don't need to opt in to your list - just 'Like' your page. When they do this it will kick off the viral nature of Facebook and their friends will come and Like your page and join your list if your page is relevant to them.
        • Start a Facebook group on the same topic, get your friends to join this group then direct them to your fanpage to opt in (can't add optin form on a Group page unless FB has changed this recently)
        • Get active on other Facebook pages and groups on the same topic. Once you have shown you can add value to a group you can PM the administrator and ask them to message their members with a link to your own Fanpage.
        • When you get friend requests direct them to your fanpage.
        • Join ezinearticles and write 3-4 great articles a week, with a link to your Facebook fanpage in your bio
        And go from there

Of course if Facebook kills your page you're munted but one of the trade offs of free is that you don't control your own real estate.

You will still have your list though and that's the main thing!

        Libby

PS: Feel free to ask more specific questions and I'll do my best to answer.

I wouldnt buy anything if i were you. Just domain and host. Everything you need to know about IM you have on internet. And stick just to 1 method. If you already bought so many WSOs then take best 1 and apply it, and keep working on it til u make money. And while working on it keep learning more. It probably wont be enough if u just follow WSO. Master every part of it. Go into details. Research every step of it, even if it take days. Focus only at 1 thing and be at least decent at it even if it take a week. There is really lots of information in IM, and no way you can success if you wanna do more things (courses) at same time. Even if you focus only on one its already way too much information. I believe you can make money only if u do 1 thing for long time and master it not jumping from 1 course to another like a frog on steroids. And i know all this from my 1,5 months of experience in IM
I stil didnt make any money either coz i kinda failed with my 1st site, well not failed it will just take a bit longer to rank coz of strong competition. And i was kinda jumping from 1 course to another, tried to find out fast way to make money. I never found it. So i just focus on affiliate marketing and thousand of other things you need to know about it for now. I am gonna start my 2nd site tomorrow and i am pretty sure it will make my 1st money coz i made GOOD keyword research which i kinda failed at my 1st site. Anyway the point is, before you start building any site, just do a good keyword research coz no matter how much you learn later and how hard you work on site a bad keyword research can be your end

I know this sounds weird but...for now - stop searching and take action on something thta you already bought. Read the posts here...ask questions and make some money.

You have to try what you buy. If you keep looking and do not take action you will always be right where you are...looking for that next thing. I hope that helps.

It scares me to think how much money can be thrown away for the pursuit of more money.

Luckily I don't have access to credit so i'm a bit limited in my spending - that's not to say I haven't spent a bit and found out I already knew those things or got the info from the first program I officially paid for that gave me ready made sites to start with and some good training.
So much free information you can learn from out there.

I don't know if it's ok to tell you to check out my signature link under free training and enjoy the free training videos on the blog.

Choose one business model and stick with it - later on, you can add more monetizing methoda like cpa, adsense, etc.

I bet you wish you asked questions before spending ....ouch!

This is a real business and you need to have a plan and realistic goals.
    Be patient and persistent.
    Take Action.

    Good luck!
