Okay I REALLY REALLY need help

I set up my squeeze page, just a simple page with an opt-in form and some bullets to show people what they would get in a course Im trying to promote.
After the lead opts in they would be redirected to my Clickbank offer,is that a good thing or do I REALLY need to put a thank you page?

After that Im sending them back to the Clickbank offer through 5 emails that I set up in my Aweber account(1 day interval),is that bad?

Then there is a 12 email newsletter series providing valuable information,is that good?

AND whats a real simple, easy way to get heaps of traffic to that page?:confused:

THANK YOU GUYS!

I think a "thank you" page is strongly preferable, partly because it enables you to explain to people how to confirm their opt-in, and so on, which may increase your list by 20% - 25% or so.

For myself, I also wouldn't be sending people to a Clickbank offer quite as quickly as that, though I know some marketers do.

Not if it works better for you than any of the other possibilities.

Again, it's not at all what I'd do myself, because I think it's too much, too quickly, and would cost me future sales (and I know some people would quickly unsubscribe if I sent a "sales" email every day, as indeed I would myself).

To me, it sounds very much better than anything mentioned above, I must say. This is presumably the "incentive" for which people are giving you their email addresses?

For myself, I prefer to provide some valuable information before the first Clickbank promotion (which I'll typically do a few days after they opt in).

I agree - I've seen many folks that redirect right to a sales pitch after the opt-in. I messed with this some (freebie was a video, so I directed to a video with a sales pitch underneath), didn't see any appreciable increase in sales, but did see that I was getting opt-ins that never confirmed. That does me no good - they might as well have never opted in. So now I've got a thank you page and they have to confirm to get their free stuff.

As for your follow-up sequence, don't send all sales pitches right away, then followed up by free info. If they haven't unsubscribed by the 5th pitch email, then while it's cool that you're giving them free stuff, if you're not gonna pitch them again after that, you're not doing yourself any good. Why build a relationship with them *after* you've pitched?

Intersperse your free stuff w/your pitches. Send a free email or two, a pitch, another couple freebies, etc.

Another technique is to work soft sells into your emails. This has been *very* successful for me. I'm always pitching, but I don't pitch my product - I pick out a benefit that my product provides.

Then I pitch that benefit - why it would behoove you the reader to be able to *insert benefit here). This benefit can do this for you, make you better at that, etc. If you want to achieve the benefit, then here's a basic plan of action or approach to get there.
    etc.

Then at the end, I include a sort of "Hey, if you like the idea of this benefit, and wanted a detailed version of the basic plan of action I just told you about, check out my product."

It's been a nice mix for me of giving them free stuff and a pitch. In fact, when I started adopting this style of email, I actually started getting more basic feedback thanking me for my newsletters.

And of course, I toss in some random free stuff that has no pitch at all - maybe just a link in my signature or whatever.
