The firefox plugin SearchStatus also has this capability. You simply right click on the website and there will be a show keyword density option. |

I could write a tool like this if many people would find it useful? Let me know. I have already written the components for checking fields on my Content Management software, it wouldn't be hard to make it a stand alone app that others can use. |

I've used the SEO Tools one as well many times, very useful. There is a Windows app that you can download for free from here: e3KWD Check: Keyword Analysis Tool But I find that better for analyzing text/html files on my PC rather than pointing at a URL, which doesn't seem to work that well. Tim | |

| SEO Quake (seoquake.com) is a great tool for this (among its other great features). It provides 1-word, 2-word, 3-word, and 4-word densities and also can pull Google traffic data / Adwords competition with a single click. I highly recommend it.

Free tools are great, but you can do the same thing yourself in Word with nothing more than a calculator:
Total Keywords / Total Word Count x 100 = keyword density So, if you've got a keyword that appears 15 times in a 685 word page, you're looking at: 15/685*100= 2.19% Hope that helps! |

jcoolbaugh - the great thing about that formula is it gives you the density for the keyword you specify whereas the other tools just let you know which keywords show the most on a given page. I usually want to know how I'm doing with specific keywords |
