How to target and attract affiliates

Hi,

I have setup a ClickBank account for my press release submission software.

Now, where can I scout for affiliates? The visit to hits ratio is 8:1. So, it is very profitable. But, how do I attract affiliates for it?

--
Thanks,
Ankit

Look for people selling related products and email them details.

Look for sites that it would be a good way to monetize and email them.

The first challenge is to find affiliates, to let them understand your product and they should promote your product

if you dont have a contact list of affiliates... you have to make it extremely profitable for them... like 75% commission (in the beginning) aand as more affiliates sign up..lower it.
I would also look into Plimus.. Been doing good there... They revamped their site/service, and I always do good on CB.

    Hello Friends.........

    1.Find complimentary sites

Complementary sites are a sites that sell products or services that compliment your offerings. If you sell gardening tools, a site that sells books on gardening tips would be a perfect affiliate. If you sell software, try looking for sites that sell computers or computer parts. Finding sites that already attract your target market, and can benefit from recommending your product or service to their visitors, is the goal.

    2.Find content sites

There are many sites that do not sell any kind of product or service but are mainly content-oriented sites. Such sites promote an idea, concept, study or belief. Content sites that are used as a resource for your target market are ideal affiliates.

    Thanks

Tracking down affiliates can be done in a number of ways:

    1. If there are similar products on Clickbank - then find their CB ID (embedded in the hop link) and do a Google search for the ID - this will bring up many sites from those promoting (at least the ones without a redirect in place)

    2. I still dig into authority sites in my marketplace, also go to Ezine Articles and plugin "Press Release" - most of the articles written on the topic will be promoting either their own service or affiliate products - they will be affiliates you can contact

    3. Begin to build a list - a portion of any list will end up to be potential affiliates - it just happens that way in our experience

    4. Subscribe to ezines, read blogs around your area of interest and notice the ads that come up - that tells you they are already promoting other products and could be promoting yours too

    5. As was mentioned - Adwords advertisers can often be persuaded to carry your product

    6. Use a tool like CBEngine where you can easily spot related CB products to your own and then use method 1 to find affiliates

Once you identify a list of 10-20 candidates, then we have been very successful using a system where we introduce our products first before even mentioning promotion - gives time to create the relationship.

  • Contact good affiliate sites in your niche and entice them with good commissions.

If your product is any good, they will gladly accept.
