Need an Advice On Video marketing

Hey guys,

I wanted to ask:

If I make a video and upload it to Youtube, and than build backlinks to that video, will it be ranked higher in Youtube search results? (NOT in Google)

Does anyone knows what affects the most in order to be ranked well in Youtube?

Can someone recommend a guide which covers video marketing? (free would be the best...)

I think videos is one of the best traffic generation methods and it doesn't take that long to make a video as it would take to create an article

    You need to get views on that video to get a rank in youtube.
    Also youtube has a system called youtube partner program where you get a premium status if you get a specified number of views in a specified time (i guess 48 hours or 1 week)
    Also consider sharing your videos to multiple video sharing sites and not just youtube.

    Building Links - You'd end up building links for youtube :p, so skip the idea, only focus on views.

    My 2 tips

    1. Call your file by your keyword names not myfinalattempt3sunday.mov but makemoneyontheweb.mov

    2. Look at competitor videos and you can see the tags they are using, use similar tags but not exact matches.

    Keywords are the key to ranking in youtube
    and then views. Be very specific on your keyword don't put a long list of keywords

    Then views are the key.
    Name your file your keyword, have the keyword in the title
    hopefully your url has the keyword in it too
    Type a keyword filled description and use the title of the video
    as the first line in the description box too.
    You can also pay for your video to be a featured video to get more views
    and try to use your video as a video response to some of the very popular
    videos on Youtube.
