Hey folks,

I am relatively new to internet marketing. After looking at affiliate networks offers I decide to create my own product service to sell. I already learned how to drive traffic from social websites and found some sources of traffic from expired domains with links.

My first idea was to create online traffic school that takes time.

I want to offer a beneficial solution to people issues. Maybe I should buy PLR first then commission something and then make my own?

Some niches I am looking at in entertainment and weigh loss. Creating localized offer, offers.

Also is it better to use paypal with its crappy service or set up merchant account?

All ideas are welcome.

    1 step at a time.

I would - if it were my first product pick a sub niche.

So not weight loss for my first piece of the pie, I would do how to build a six pack.

Or something where there is a big market but it is more targeted.

Then just look at other sites in your niche for ideas.

Build the site, take action and also either outsource the creation of the product or do it yourself.

When starting out use Paypal I would say and then when sales start coming in you can always upgrade.

How can you create a product in a random niche that you know nothing about?

        Why would anyone buy it?

I suggest you stick to affiliate marketing until you've learnt enough about a niche to actually start writing about it.

Yeah, I gotta agree with Rose on this one. If you don't know anything about a niche, don't create your own product (unless you're hiring somebody that knows what they're doing to create it for you). And don't use PLR for a product you want to see. The quality on many PLR products just plain sucks, and if you don't know the niche, you wouldn't have any idea if you were trying to sell junk or not.

Stick to affiliate marketing for now, or go into a niche that you already know a bit about.

Yes surely some knowledge helps at least to check PLR quality. Affiliate marketing well they pay less. Say I am selling 5 usd product even with say 20% conversion rate its 1 usd while an affiliate network might pay 2usd per sale max an with 30% converson rate its 60 usd. Plus they pay late and in tos reserve rights not to pay any commissions what so ever. Also customer loyalty, list once I sold them good product I can upsell, cross sell, etc. Multiple revenue streams.

Yes initially I might hire someone to create product or buy existing one and change it. Also some PLR might be fine have to see whats available Maybe buy ok PLR and expand on it.

And I am familiar with some niches including nutrition, herbal medicine, etc however I am also cool with passing on other experts knowledge.
