Can You Link To Cloned Sales Pages In An EZA Article?

Can you link to a cloned sales page in an Ezine article resource box?

I set up a cloned sales on a page like this: http://mysite.com/keyword. I submitted a couple of articles to EZA and they got approved. Today, I got 2 rejected saying they don't allow articles with affiliate links or links to distributors. The rejected articles were exactly the same as the ones that got approved.

Should this be allowed, or not? Sometimes EZA find problems when there aren't any...

If it's not allowed, is there any tactic to be able to link an EZA article to a cloned page?

With respect, Alex, why not simply read their editorial guidelines? It's only one page and it covers all your questions about this in detail. (You've already seen what happens when you submit articles without reading that - isn't it time, now?).

Alexa, I have more than 600 articles published on Ezine articles, I know their guidelines well, and I checked them again before I started this thread.

Nothing in the guidelines explain why my articles were rejected. But before I resubmitted them, I thought I'd see if anyone here could throw some light on it and offer a reason why they weren't allowed, and possibly save me a 4 or 5 day wait that might end with them being rejected a second time.

Sorry, Alex - but you're entirely mistaken.

The editorial guidelines actually make it very clear indeed what's going on (which is why I suggested you take a look - I wasn't trying to be pedantic or unhelpful!).

Just scroll down to the end of the page (paragraph 3): it explains EXACTLY what you've done wrong, and even gives an example in exactly the same format as you've given it in your original post above, and explains why that isn't allowed and what would be allowed instead!

How could it possibly be any clearer

I think what Alex might be referring to here is a link to a sales page that is a duplicate - not necessarily a link to an affiliate offer.

I had a similar problem when I linked to a sales page on my own website which offered a PLR ebook. The book came with a sales letter and I hadn't had time to change the sales page before submitting the article. Normally I would have done so but I wanted to get the domain indexed and a few links back to it as quickly as possible. As it happened another website carried the same, unchanged , sales letter. (There were none when I submitted the article).

Ezinearticles decided that because the article's resource box had a link pointing to a page that had a duplicate, it was not acceptable and they suspended my account.

I pointed out to them that the link pointed to my own website, the ebook was mine to sell and not an affiliate product, and that the article was completely original. This had no effect and in order to have account re-instated I withdrew the article.

I know that ezinearticles are paranoid about PLR articles but I could find nothing in their guidelines that would cause anyone to think that what I did, and what I think Alex has done, was an infringement of them.

This might highly depend on the sales page. On a quality page which provides information you can very well promote an affiliate offer via links - but you know how SOME sales pages are just spammy and try to sell at all costs. And EZA rejects those.

I think the technical problem is that Alex isn't forwarding his link to an affiliate offer; his page is the affiliate offer. Technically not breaking the rule so some editors will approve it while others won't. Most likely this is a losing battle though

I'm in the same boat as Alex. I've submitted dozens of articles with the www.MySite.com/affiliate and all seemed well. All the sudden, a big red flag has gone up.

Yes Alexa, I did read the guidelines before and also now. Unless the guidelines have changed, they were NOT being enforced before.

Does anyone know if this will constantly be a problem?

They weren't being consistently enforced, certainly.

I just replied to your question here, Drew.

Who can say with certainty? My own guess is that it'll be very consistently enforced now, given all their recent policy changes there.
