New York affiliate marketing
I'm in NY State and we've had some tax legislation here in the last couple years that's made aff marketing kind of a pain. Many online merchants won't allow NY affiliates to sign up for their affiliate programs. So I'm finally deciding to try out CPA (I've only done traditional pay-per-sale and pay-per-lead with networks like CJ and SaS so far). Does anyone have any caveats about the big CPA networks or anything else involving CPA that I'll have to watch out for as a NY resident? Is the NY taxation issue different for the CPA method of aff marketing because visitors are not actually buying something directly from affiliates' leads?
