Read this article with great interest in a free investment ezine I receive - you have to scroll down about 1/3 of the page to find the article -
Google's Search Spam Problems - Casey's Daily Dispatch (this is NOT an affiliate link, it is their archive link)

Just thought I would pass it along...I am not saying I agree or disagree with the author but it could definitely have an impact on us smaller Internet marketers and something I have not read about anywhere else.

Uh, aren't the algorithms patented? If so, Demand Media, and anyone else should be able to go study them.

  My MAIN point for posting the article was not about Demand Media capitalizing on their knowledge of Googles algorithim, it was how a large company like Demand Media with a 1.5 billion dollar IPO can very rapidly take over the SERPS from all the rest of us.

Well they better have a whole helluva lot of unique content then. Google is beginning to take action against those who have ****ty content. "Content Farms" especially those that use scraped or copied content will go the way of keyword stuffing sooner rather than later.
