What free website building software do you recommend?

Hey guys,

I just recently bought a new PC and am running vista on it. It doesn't come with frontpage or any substitutes (cheapskates!) and I don't feel like shelling out 300 bucks for dreamweaver.

What free website building software do you recommend? PM me if your solution is illegal ;P

check out NVU. It's pretty close to FrontPage and it's free.

Just so you know, Microsoft has dumped Frontpage, so it won't be -- or shouldn't be -- included with new computers.

My choice? Notepad ++.

It's a sort of "cleaned up" version of NVU (pronounced "N (as in 'Capital N')-view".

Non-free, but budget-friendly and feature-rich?
