Can't Attach Zip Files in Emails Anymore - PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

I've noticed this problem only over the last 2-3 weeks. I'm not sure if gmail has changed there setting or it's just me? Might be either!

Anyway when I'm trying to send zip files (which are not too large and have never been a problem before) it gives me this error message:

filename.zip contains an executable file. For security reasons, My Mail does not allow you to send this type of file.

The parts in bold are just what I changed for confidentiality reasons.

Has anyone else experienced this problem recently. If so, how do I easily resolve it.

Is it a setting??

Thanks!

Try to change the extension to .doc and send it this way. You can always change the extension back.

I've had this happen to me for quite some time. Google's way of trying to keep users safe. My advice is to upload any files you are trying to send onto a file-sharing website and just send them the link.
