Hey folks,

The gazillion dollars question If you were to start from scratch with all the knowledge and wisdom acquired how would you go about creating successful internet biz.

I am starting from scratch scratch and here is part of the plan.

I am ordering sites for micro niches, going to write sales letter myself as sales are my passion and have it reviewed later. Traffic mainly from social networks and expired domains links. Traffic is geo age income targeted. Using split testing. Products initially ebooks, idea to offer much more than a customer would expect, exceed expectations.

Build up list and up and cross sell.

Initially using paypal the merchant account. Add logos that inspire trust, etc.

Ebooks PLR and/or written by ghost writers. Traffic consentrating on social networks, and offline, plus PR. This way no matter where competitors rank people come direct to site in most cases and then its up to product and pitch.

What are your ideas?

I would start with building one good site, and seo the crap out of it to get a good base. I would make the site something I could use for more than one product/niche so that I could continue to build good backlinks to that one site.

I think I'd proceed in exactly the same way I have done.

I'd build up niche-focused sites and mailing lists, utilising SEO and article marketing (syndication model) primarily for traffic, and promote affiliate products - probably those sold through Clickbank.

I'd also begin building out a couple of authority sites monetised with AdSense and Amazon Associates and perhaps a small number of other relevant affiliate programmes.

In other words, if an approach already works, why would I change anything?

I'd put together just ONE killer product that the other guys are selling for $47, $77, $97 etc. Then I'd build ONE Killer squeeze page and send all my marketing efforts to it giving away the product!!!

    - guest posts
    - article marketing
    - forum posting
    - blog commenting
    etc..

I'd give this killer product away, and market to the list instead.

    Simple, yet effective.

However that said, I love the fact that my business is spread out all over the place, and chaotic as hell! LOL

Sell marketing tools and SEO software to other marketers instead of doing all this hardwork myself.

    Viral and Branding.

All those hundreds of items I sold on eBay,
I should have used that opportunity for Branding
    and building a list.

I am not into ebay anymore, moved on.

      You mean Adwords?

      Expensive proposition.

Google sends me the equivalent of about $5,000 each month in traffic .
      wouldn't recommend it!

This is definitely a sound plan, the initial set up should be a cinch and shouldn't take too much time. What you really need to focus on is driving traffic to your site - you didn't mention using a squeeze page or autoresponder, but that is where I'd direct my traffic to (not the sales page).

Also, it may not be necessary to create your own products initially. I'd just promote relevant affiliate products first. Just focus on getting this off the ground quickly, you can add your own products later on once you've started driving traffic to your squeeze page.
