Many small niche specific sites or one large authority site?

Hello guys. I am doing amazon reviews right now and am currently setting up one review site with reviews for all kinds of different amazon products that I find. If I find a product I like I will write a review and post it to the one website instead of focusing on many small niche specific sites.

I'm just wondering if one large authority site which covers many different products is better (especially for the long run) than having many small niche sites that focus on only type of product/site. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks

There's advantages and disadvantages to both. Niche sites where you can use the URL name to your advantage will rank for keywords more easily and quicker. Building a long term site that encompasses many brands/products can be great as well. As the sites reputation, page rank, and Alexa rating grow. It's sub-sites will rank quicker and get more traffic naturally.

There are both advantages and disadvantages but I will go with one authority site... Less work and maintenance and easy to SEO..... Keywords are easier to rank... In niche sites, you need to work your @$$ in harder to get each and every site/keyword ranked independently.... I am on process of building a unique authority site that targets around 1,300 keyword/articles.....

I think that a big authority site will work better in the long run. With a big site you can post new posts and build up yoor google pagerank. This is hard to do with a small site.

A big authority site will build itself it you treat it right for a few years, but you can create 3-5 niche sites a day if you outsource. At $5 each per day, that's $9-$15 in semi passive income being built a day.

It is really just which kind of work you'd rather bury yourself in for 1-2 years, butthey will both pay off well if done correctly. Plus, if you train and outsource you can do either with minimal time spent.

If you're talking about one large site with a range of products like books on one page, a lawn mower on one page and a pasta machine on one page, then I'd say go with niche sites rather than one big site.

It's a whole lot easier to generate traffic for a website that focuses on one key topic. Especially because there are already a lot of general review sites out there.

Start off with just one niche site. Get a strategy that works for you, then you can adapt that strategy to other sites if you want.

One large authority site is way better and easier to manage than mini sites or niche sites. So I can say your idea will work.

I think I will stick with my one large authority site that has reviews for things like electronics, power tools, home and garden products and many others. I have been reading other threads where people say it is easier to rank a niche site but really Google and search engines rank pages on a site and not the site itself so wouldn't it be better just to focus and build up a large site and build up it's pagerank and authority for all kinds of things since it is just the page that is ranking anyways? Thanks for all the feedback too guys, I really appreciate it
