Which promotional techniques do you focus on?

By that I mean ways to drive traffic.

I have to say it's true when people say less is more. It's usually a lot more effective if you just focus on doing 2 or 3 methods you're really good at instead of trying to do everything you can think of.

Personally, I get quite a bit of traffic from social networking. I'm looking to do more articles and videos now.

What about you? Which promotional techniques do you really focus on?

    I focus on Viral Marketing... set it and forget it...

    For one simple example, give something away for free that has a linkback to your site (like a wordpress theme you create) and encourage others to share it...

    You can also do this with ebooks that have the potential to go viral...

    Use your imagination, and you can get traffic come to you, instead of you seeking out traffic.

    SEO. 90% of my traffic comes from organic search. Takes a bit of work but when I get a good placement it's tons of free traffic.

    I rely mostly on article marketing. Firstly because I have lots of experience to share where I can put them into words. Secondly, that same article I've written can be used in different ways beside article marketing. Lastly, since I'm in the training industry, I'm kind of leverage off the article writing as part of the value adding effort to my core business.
