Is there any way I can create a 1 click install of all of my required wordpress plugins?

I am looking for a way to simplify the tasks of installing all of my required wordpress plugins when I start a new site.

I have about 13 plugins that I install on a new site and am looking for a way to automate or simplify this part of the setup so i don't have to manually go through and install each one. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like you need a new plugin

Post your job in oDesk or Elance and get some quotes from php programmers if you want this done.

    * Search for somebody who has created plugins in the past.

    Hope that helps

I am also interested in this. If you find something that does this I would love to have it. It takes me probably 10 minutes per site just to get all my plugins uploaded and ready to go.

I use the backupbuddy plugin for that. I created a blog with all my plugins and the theme I regularly use, made the necessary changes that fit all sites (so anything not keyword related) and then did a full backup. Now I can just install the backup on every new domain.

Backupbuddy is a premium plugin though.

      I use wptwin.

      Create a blank blog.
Set all plugins and any settings on the theme.

(Some plugins that I use, have many settings.)
      Keeps everything.

Backs up blogs completely. One file.

      Highly recommended.

An easy and free way to do this is to just create a folder on your desktop called 'plugins' and put all the plugins you use in there. (Or download a plugins folder from one of your existing sites)

Then once you install WP, just upload the plugin folder to your wp-content section and overwrite the one that is automatically created.

I actually upload a whole new wp-conted folder with my themes, plugins and images in it.

Now, doing it this way does not activate the plugins or set them up as needed, but at least they are there.

The premium softwares and plugins mentioned above will also activate and set the settings for you, so if that helps more, you might want to also invest in them.

Hey there cweber - I didn't realise there were clone-like plugins out there for WP (my bad). Don't go to elance then

I pretty much upload everything manually (takes me 10 mins too...) so I'll be looking at these backup plugins all these kind people here mentioned.

On that note: a free way to do this would be to set up your 'bare bones' theme with plugins and all, then do a db dump (use wp-backup).

Now you have your magic sql file - you just need to do a find / replace to swap the old domain name with the new one before you import your file into the new db (you can use the db manager plugin for this).

It's not a 1 button solution but it's the free way of doing it.

Having said this, if any of those 2 plugins above do this without any editing needed, then they have to be worth the cost

    Free version:
    - use WP 3.x.x and its MS (multi-site) feature + domain mapping
    - use a free plugin to export ALL the settings, including plugins and their settings into the new sites

cant you Copy and paste all
      1) plugins {lets say 6}
      2) themes {Lets say 2}

      to one folder,

and transfer this to our host using filezilla?

so if we transfer this 4 times, to 4 domain sites, then each blog will get 6 plugins, and 2 themes, as they were in the original folders.

Guys you need this: WordPress › Plugin Central « WordPress Plugins

Whenever I install a new blog all I do is run a search in plugins for "Plugin Central" and do the auto install.

Then I paste in the list of plugins I use and Plugin Central installs them all for me.

All up it takes about 30 - 60 seconds.

    I use CPMAge - but that's a bit expensive.
Before that I just used to copy and paste all of the plugins and themes into each new site from folders with all the files I needed using my cpanel file manager - takes all of 10 seconds

Hey guys. So I ended up going with WPManagerDX. It is the best solution for this. I create a lot of review sites for amazon products and with this I now have a template set up with all my required plugins and their proper seo settings as well as the review theme I use and any other settings such as permalinks in wordpress that I normally set. These are all set up on a profile so I just fill in a couple details and I have a new site full deployed and set up with all required SEO, plugins activated and set up and theme activated and set up in a matter of about 30 seconds. It's going to save me so much time, I love it

    install a default wordpress .

    upload/install all your plugins.

download everything in your wordpress install and zip it.

then go and backup a gzip copy of the site.

now when you want to install wordpress, upload the zip file, then extract it in cpanel.

create a empty database, then in php my admin import your gzip file.

edit your wp-config.php file to match the new database credentials.

and you have wordpress with all your plugins installed start making pages
